The Horse and The Mule

I asked the teacher how many hours a week the state should require her to work for free and she had a fit. "I work enough hours, nobody has any right to demand I work for free!" But, she was certainly in tune with the idea that other professionals should, for her benefit. Since when did civilized people believe that other people owed them their skills, their time, their efforts, without compensation? (Oh there's more!)
