An Amber Alert has been issued for a 13-year-old girl, and authorities believe she may have been abducted by an older man.
The child may have been abducted by Jose Angel Ponce, and the Amber Alert was issued out of Alvin, Texas, which is just south of Houston.
The abducted girl's name is Elizabeth Catherine Smith, and she is believed to be with 38-year-old Ponce, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
CBS affiliate KHOU in Houston reports that the 13-year-old girl is not related to Ponce.
She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, jeans, gray "J" shoes and wearing a purple and black backpack.
Ponce is believed to be 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.
The vehicle authorities are currently looking for is a 2010 Chevrolet C-1500 truck with license plates AT22261
