The Girl Scouts, as an organization, have lost their minds. What was once a nice, wholesome organization for girls has turned into a force for left-wing indoctrination. The more I dig into the facts, the more I am convinced that it is so. The Girl Scouts have turned into a group about which you should think twice before letting your daughters enroll.

The weirdness of modern Girl Scouts USA (GSUSA) first hit my radar when I heard that their badges are now aligned with Common Core – that was just the tip of the iceberg. What really gets me is that Girl Scouts are also aligned with Planned Parenthood.
GSUSA is the largest member and financial supporter of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). WAGGS supports abortion “rights” for young women. WAGGS took part in the “Women Deliver” 2013 conference, featuring speakers such as late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart, infanticide supporter Peter Singer, and others. Breakout sessions included “Why I Perform Abortions.”
What does this have to do with learning to build a campfire? I canʼt think of anything, either. What about GSUSA directly? They support abortion, too, through their membership in The Coalition for Adolescent Girls, which advocates for abortion. This is where your membership dues are going.
Not only is GSUSA involved with you might not want your daughters associated with, they encourage your daughters to associate with them directly. These groups include ACLU, Amnesty International, Population Council, Sierra Club, and WAGGGS, all of which support abortion. LifeNews was unable to find even one group supported by GSUSA which was pro-life.
It goes beyond abortion, too. Recently, there was a “no adults allowed” workshop for Girl Scouts held at the United Nations. This, according to the Washington Times, included the distribution of a Planned Parenthood pamphlet entitled “Happy, Healthy, and Hot.” This pamphlet includes such gems as “Sex can feel great and be really fun! Many people think sex is just about vaginal or anal intercourse…but, there are lots of different ways to have sex,” “play with yourself!” and “make sure you get support from a registered family planning clinic so that you can access…a safe abortion.”
If youʼre not already convinced, or want to get involved in fighting back, visit 100 Questions for the Girl Scouts or Speak Now Girl Scouts. In the meantime, Iʼd encourage parents out there not only to find another group for their daughters, but to talk to other parents. This is not the Girl Scouts we enjoyed as children.
