Rolling Stone: "Everything Is Rigged, The Biggest Price-Fixing Scandal Ever"

APRIL 26, 2013

The Illuminati were amateurs. The second huge financial scandal of the year reveals the real international conspiracy: There's no price the big banks can't fix

Conspiracy theorists of the world, believers in the hidden hands of the Rothschilds and the Masons and the Illuminati, we skeptics owe you an apology. You were right. The players may be a little different, but your basic premise is correct: The world is a rigged game. We found this out in recent months, when a series of related corruption stories spilled out of the financial sector, suggesting the world's largest banks may be fixing the prices of, well, just about everything.  Read more

Is an Obama Cover-Up In Progress on the Marathon Bombing? [Updated]

APRIL 26, 2013

Many commentators have criticized the Obama administration for prosecuting Dzhokhar Tsarnaev criminally, which entailed giving him Miranda rights and providing him with a lawyer. But apart from the wisdom, in principle, of promptly commencing a criminal prosecution in this case, the sequence of events raises obvious questions about what the administration is up to.

Obama's hubris problem

By KEITH KOFFLER
4/26/13 5:10 AM EDT

The author says the president is giving off a 'L'état, c'est moi,' vibe. | Reuters

(POLITICO) - Tuesday morning, a peculiar announcement trickled out of the White House press office: President Barack Obama would be holding a moment of silence for the victims of the Boston bombings. At the White House. By himself. No press or other intruders allowed.

Except the White House photographer.

That Obama assumed Americans would want an iconic photo of him privately mourning the victims of the bombings was emblematic of a kind of hubris that has enveloped the president and his White House as the president commences his second term.

Hubris in a leader is an obnoxious thing, leading to imperiousness in governing. And it’s also a dangerous thing for a second-term president, often spelling trouble.

Unfortunately, this president’s acts of high handedness and self-absorption have accumulating in the past several months at a blistering pace.

Even as the nation’s workers wilted under a struggling economy and high unemployment, Obama decided to take two round excursions to Hawaii at taxpayer expense over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Just six weeks later, he jetted down to Florida for a luxury four-day golf vacation where he played with Tiger Woods. Meanwhile Michelle Obama also took another vacation, skiing in Colorado.

Even as the sequester began to force those who work for him in the federal government to take furloughs and government services were scaled back – including, famously, the White House tours – Obama stepped up his golf, roaring out of the White House in his motorcade three Saturdays in a row for the 50-minute round trip drive to the Joint Base Andrews course.

In a true Marie Antoinette moment, Obama offered to pare back his pay by five percent as a show of empathy for those being furloughed. At annual salary of $400,000, that would force him to get by on a meager $380,000, in addition to a couple of hundred thousand extra dollars he can probably expect to make this year from book sales.

He had Memphis soul music legends throw a command performance for himself and the first lady in the East Room. He commended California’s attorney general for being the hottest of all the state AGs. He gave himself an exclusive viewing in the White House theater of the Jackie Robinson biopic, “42.”

On Saturday night, he’ll be partying with journalists and their celebrity guests at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association bash.

All while the nation continues to suffer under his stewardship of the economy.

When gun legislation he backed failed to pass last week, he threw an epic hissy fit in the Rose Garden, proclaiming his opponents liars who thought “it wasn’t worth it” to protect kids from gun violence.

Jersey City man charged with having explosives on train 8 days before Marathon bombings: cops

April 26, 2013

Mykyta Panasenko, 27, of Jersey City, has been charged with having explosive devices in his home and on a train in Hoboken.
More than a week before three people were killed and more than 260 people were injured in the Boston Marathon bombings, a Jersey City man carried two homemade explosives on an NJ Transit train, authorities say.

Police also found explosive devices in the Newport Parkway home of Mykyta Panasenko, 27, Jersey City police said today. According to a criminal complaint, Panasenko is charged with having "two destructive devices, specifically improvised explosive devices (IEDs) constructed from a cylinder containing Pyrodex (black powder)" on April 5, the criminal complaint says.

Indiana Passes Knife Rights Switchblade Ban Repeal

April 26, 2013

Gilbert, AZ --(Ammoland.com)- After two years of effort by Knife Rights and our sponsors, the Indiana legislature has repealed the state’s irrational ban on switchblade knives.

Senator Jim Tomes and Senator Johnny Nugent have worked tirelessly with Knife Rights to pass this repeal.

Initially passed unanimously by the Indiana Senate, passage of the bill has been thwarted two years in a row by a single House committee chairman who refused to hear the bill. Senators Tomes and Nugent were able to bypass the obstinate chairman by adding the repeal language to a Conference Committee Report on HB1563 dealing with related matters. This Report was passed by the Indiana House 78-19 on Wednesday and the Indiana Senate 50-0 today.

HB1563 with the included Switchblade Ban Repeal language now goes to Governor Mike Pence. Please contact Governor Pence and ask him to sign HB1563.

Judge Sides With ICE Agents: Says Obama Admin. Can’t Refuse to Deport Illegal Aliens

APRIL 25, 2013

In a stunning order, a federal judge Wednesday said that the Obama administration is likely violating the law by telling immigration agents and officers not to arrest illegal aliens they deem “low priority”, in a lawsuit brought by ICE agents that could derail Obama’s plan to undermine immigration enforcement nationwide.

Federal Judge Reed O’Connor said in a court order Tuesday that Congress, not the president, sets priority for arresting illegal immigrants, and said the law requires them to be put in deportation proceedings.

“The court finds that DHS does not have discretion to refuse to initiate removal proceedings,” Judge O’Connor wrote in a stunning order few had expected.

Rescued at the Point of A Gun: Second Video Confirms Militarized, Warrantless Boston Raids

APRIL 25, 2013

Several days ago we posted a video depicting law enforcement officials forcing homeowners out of their residences at gun point as they searched for Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Because the video was not an official, state-sponsored release through mainstream media channels, we were lambasted for publishing false information. Some readers via social media, our commenting forums and email suggested that nothing of the sort happened in Watertown, Massachusetts. They accused this web site, as well as Infowars.com (where we sourced the video), and other alternative media publishers of posting footage of an unrelated incident and summarily dismissed the shocking evidence.

For many, the notion that police, armed like military personnel, would raid homes in suburban U.S. neighborhoods with brute force and without regard for fourth amendment Constitutional protections such as warrants or probable cause, was something they simply couldn’t wrap their heads around.

Thus, alternative media was once again dismissed by many as peddling conspiracy theories.

So, for those who require their daily directives and talking points from ‘trusted’ mainstream media sources, we offer up a second video as evidence that not only did police and military personnel roll armored vehicles down city streets in America in a de facto state of martial law, but they actively entered the homes of hundreds of residences without permission, warrant or regard for the most fundamental laws of our land.

In traditional mainstream media style, note that the 7News reporter claims that as these dramatic events played out and the pattern was repeated “house after house”, the SWAT teams were actually “rescuing” residents who were hunkered down in their homes:

Each time the SWAT team would rescue a family at the point of a gun, they would rush into the home in an armed line, guns ready in case the suspect was hiding inside.

That’s what we’re calling it now… “being rescued.”

The reason is that Corkins, who has pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic terrorism, confirmed to the FBI that he obtained information about the FRC from the “hate group” listing posted online by the SPLC, and that’s how he picked his target.

Obama Wants Us to Pay for Abortion-Causing Devices, Too!

APRIL 25, 2013

Obamacare’s so-called “contraceptive mandate” has been much in the news. But much of what the administration calls “contraception” is actually abortion.

Take the copper IUD, for example. It is advertised as a contraceptive device, but even the New York Times, in a front page story about Plan B, admits that it causes early-term abortions. How? By preventing the implantation of a developing embryo in the uterus.

As the flagship paper of the liberal media writes, “[R]esearch suggests that the only other officially approved form of emergency contraception, the copper intrauterine device (also a daily birth control method), can work to prevent pregnancy after an egg has been fertilized.”

What we are talking about here is what is known as "heavy metal poisoning." The copper ions released by the IUD create a microenvironment hostile to living organisms, including tiny human beings. This is why, to adduce a crude example, fence posts used on modern-day farms are pressure-treated with copper-arsenic. This deadly chemical cocktail kills all the organisms, from bacteria to termites, that attempt to eat into the posts.

Read for yourselves what a handbook called Managing Contraception for Your Pocket has to say:

In Relentless Pursuit of YOUR Tax Dollars: Democratic Legislation would provide subsidies for low-income broadband access

April 24, 2013

Program would be funded by tax on consumers' phone service.

New legislation proposed in the House of Representatives would update a government program for telecommunications subsidies, shifting it from telephone service to broadband service. Sponsored by Rep. Doris Matsui (D-CA), the Broadband Adoption Act of 2013 would instruct the FCC to modify the Lifeline program, which currently subsidizes telephone service for low-income Americans, offering help for households to purchase broadband Internet service instead.

"The Lifeline program provides a tangible service to lower-income Americans and it is imperative that the Lifeline program be reformed and modernized to account for broadband services," Rep. Matsui said in a press release.

The Lifeline program is funded by the "Universal Service" fees that appear on Americans' phone bills. In addition to subsidizing service for low-income Americans, the Universal Service Fund also helps pay for service in rural areas. The shift to broadband has long been under discussion in Washington. A government report recommended extending the Lifeline program to broadband in 2010.

The FCC itself has been working to overhaul the complex Universal Service system. According to Matsui, recent changes to the Lifeline program have decreased participation from 18.2 million people last August to 13.2 million this month.

Matsui's proposal has the support of the advocacy group Public Knowledge, which argued that the bill was needed as telecom providers shifted to all-IP telephony services. "Congress and the FCC must ensure that the Lifeline program continues to provide low income Americans access to these networks that connect them to critical 911 services, employment opportunities, and the broader civic community," said PK's Christopher Lewis.

Rep. Matsui introduced similar legislation in 2011, but the proposal made little headway.

America is facing a jihadist enemy. It is an enemy that has proven it can inflict more civilian casualties on the United States than any other foreign enemy in almost 200 years.

Just last week this enemy killed 3 innocent people, wounded more than 100 and paralyzed a major American city.

Yet, our obsession with political correctness, with a strong desire not to offend our enemies makes our self-defense immeasurably more difficult.

The evil nature and intentions of our jihadist enemies are already clear. They hate us enough to pack pressure cookers with ball bearings, to hijack airliners and turn them into weapons of mass destruction, to wear underwear bombs, shoe bombs, and any other kind of bomb they can smuggle onto aircraft.

Yet we still can’t face facts. Consider these recent events:

Analysis: Sleeper Cell in America?

April 24, 2013

Capping off a week of misinformation, confusion, contradiction, and error from the media and law enforcement, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino insisted Sunday that the Boston Marathon jihad bombers acted alone, even as it was becoming increasingly obvious that they did not. The UK's Mirror reported on the same day that "the FBI was last night hunting a 12-strong terrorist 'sleeper cell' linked to the Boston marathon bomb brothers." And so the jihad in Boston widens to proportions that are as yet impossible to calculate – as are the potential casualty rates.

The Mirror added: "Police believe Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were specially trained to carry out the devastating attack" and quoted an unnamed source saying: "We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google. They were too advanced. Someone gave the brothers the skills and it is now our job to find out just who they were. Agents think the sleeper cell has up to a dozen members and has been waiting several years for their day to come."

The Most Unconstitutional Law In American History

April 24, 2013

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but something has happened that you need to know about.

(Western Journalism) - Last week, while our attention was diverted to the Boston Marathon bombing manhunt, the U.S. House of Representatives snuck in and struck a blow to civil liberties.

They passed new legislation called the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, or CISPA; and it has substantial implications for online freedom.

Although the President hasn’t officially signed CISPA yet, the Obama Administration has embraced Total Information Awareness –“TIA” for short – which refers to the government’s power to accumulate a massive, searchable database of every conceivable type of electronic information.

And I’m not even talking about the agencies already compiling virtually billions of phone and email records. CISPA has taken all of that to a new level. The United States government now has more power than ever to snoop on you.

CISPA advocates say the bill is an essential tool to protect Americans from foreign “hackers.”

But in actuality, it further erodes Americans’ internet privacy. CISPA is a clear example of politicos convincing the citizenry to abandon their liberties by manipulating fearfulness.

The End of Privacy

Under CISPA, corporations fork over the private data of American citizens to federal agents, as long as they can excuse the encroachment of your privacy in the name of protecting the vague mandate called “cyber security.”

And nothing will go untouched by those monitoring our activities.

At risk are emails… texts… Facebook (FB) posts… Tweets. Skype conversations. Discussion boards. Web pages. Travel records. Banking records. Credit card transactions. Stock market trades. Google (GOOG) searches. Even our landline and cell phone traffic.

All of it – fair game.

Your smartphone’s GPS will even share your exact location so the government will know whether you’ve joined one of those “domestic terrorist” groups.

And on top of that, the bill furnishes these private companies with immunity from lawsuits. CISPA typifies a disturbing form of corporatism, where companies surrender all obligations to protect your privacy in exchange for litigation protection. Companies can now be held harmless, irrespective of the hurt caused by divulging information to the government.

And if that doesn’t make your blood boil, perhaps this will: CISPA violates the fourth amendment.

The fourth amendment to the U.S. Constitution reads: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Our Founding Fathers instituted broad measures to protect our privacy. But CISPA will allow federal officials to collect private information without a warrant from a federal judge.

The bill also grants federal agencies the right to give your information to other federal officials without obtaining a warrant.

Fortifying the Surveillance State

By this flinging open a previously barred (sealed, locked, barricaded) window to your private information, the government has laid the groundwork for an uber-intrusive surveillance state.

This is how it begins…

In September, the National Security Agency will open a one-million-square-foot mega-database facility, built by an army of 10,000 construction workers.

Located in Bluffdale, Utah, the federal data center will store information by the yottabyte. A yottabyte (10 followed by 24 zeros), makes a terabyte look microscopic. Powering this colossus requires a 200-megawatt air conditioning system (larger than what was used for the two World-Trade Centers combined). So much for “green” energy… this beast uses as much power as 200,000 homes.

This massive database – storing our every move – will be available to the FBI, the CIA, the Department of Defense, and, of course, the White House. If it travels through wires or the air, you can bank on it living on for eternity in the Utah datacenter. In the past, only the IRS has been so bold as to claim this power, but now everyone in government has easy access to your private data.

Welcome to Barack Obama’s fundamental transformation of America.

Relevent: The Secret Language Used on Capitol Hill

April 24, 2013

Last week we decoded Obama’s budget proposal for you. This week, we’re taking it a step further – we’re going to explain the language politicians on Capitol Hill use every day.

Capitol Hill lives in an alternate reality. Members, staff and even the media up here seldom say what they mean. Instead, they say what they think you want to hear.

Misuse of language is a truly bi-partisan affliction in our government. Even a cursory review of congressional speeches reveals a pattern of language manipulation.

And it creates great animosity toward our leaders. Words are used by members of congress to mislead – call it a blueprint for illusion, obfuscation and distraction.

Indeed, the congressional dictionary has words with unusual meanings. So today, I’m going to help you decipher the words found in the secret Capitol Hill dictionary.

Investment

This is the congressman’s code word for government spending. When he or she says, “We require more investment,” they really mean “We must increase spending on some pet project.

The word “investment” seems reassuring. Typically it connotes a venture that will generate a profit.

On Capitol Hill, nothing could be further from the truth. The returns envisioned are political or personal. A supporter or the member themselves is benefiting by receiving greater influence or aid… but a profit? No way.

Pay a Fair Share

This phrase is used by congressmen seeking the redistribution of wealth.

But what it actually means is that entrepreneurs and other productive business owners aren’t paying adequate taxes. And more of their income ought to be “contributed” to the authorities for redistribution to deserving constituencies.

Congress never offers a criterion as to what is a “fair share.” Naturally, a congressman’s boosters are contributing their “fair share”, regardless of how much they actually pay. Normal Americans, on the other hand…

Revenue

A congress member may frequently talk of the necessity of increasing revenues. Many times they use this word in conjunction with the phrase “millionaires and billionaires.”

Be aware: This almost always means taxes are headed higher.

Millionaires and billionaires, from the vantage point of Capitol Hill, include most middle class families. Sometimes it means any family making more than $250,000. But as in the case of the fiscal cliff deal sealed this January, millionaires and billionaires meant everyone.

Trust me, math skills are absolutely not a requirement to be in congress. In fact, it’s best if you don’t understand the huge numeric difference between 250,000 and one billion. Understanding math would just introduce far too much logic into the equation.

Spending Reductions

This word has the most bizarre meaning of all.

In the Tax Code, spending reductions have nothing to do with spending at all. Spending reductions just means higher taxes.

So why the confusing language? Well, every congressman likes to assume the mantle of deficit hawk. So they call a tax increase a spending reduction.

Here is one example of how it works.

Take mortgage interest deduction – a tax break for homeowners. If congress repeals this tax break and raises taxes on homeowners, they consider it a spending reduction. In reality, the only thing it’s reducing is a future debt increase (as the extra tax money will surely be spent).

This allows them to fool many unsuspecting people because the word has more or less an opposite meaning from what it sounds like.

Unprecedented

Congress uses this word to describe every crisis requiring a legislative solution.

They feel that whatever is currently on the docket is so extraordinary that everything they do or say must be loved.

Congress members are essentially oblivious to American history. Therefore, when they confront challenges and events, they believe they are entering totally uncharted territory.

Working People

This word is put forward to certify allegiance to ordinary Americans.

What a member actually has in mind is that he supports active and organized voting blocks and organizations over other Americans.

According to a member’s definition, the vast majority of Americans, including small business owners, are not working people at all, regardless of how many thousands of hours they work. In the Capitol Hill dictionary, only unions, organized special interests, and, best of all, political action committees, are considered working people deserving of extraordinary preferences and consideration.

Wrapping it All Up…

To understand the leaders on Capitol Hill, you have to listen very closely. The language of the politician is steeped in subterfuge. So don’t take their words at face value – learn to use the secret Capitol Hill dictionary to decipher the truth.

Until next time, I remain…

Your eyes on the Hill,

The Left shows it's hand in the war on women and children once again: Pro-Abortion Lobbyist Pleads Guilty to Arranging to Have Sex With 12-Year-Old

April 24, 2013

Last week, I missed this item:

Scott Richard Swirling, 62, of Silver Spring, Maryland, pled guilty today to traveling interstate to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor, announced U.S. Attorney Ronald C. Machen, Jr.; Valerie Parlave, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office; and Cathy L. Lanier, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

I wrote about Swirling when he was arrested in January:

He was executive director of the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association, where he took the lead on a lawsuit arguing that it was unconstitutional to ban federal subsidies for abortion and abortion referrals. Earlier, Swirling was government affairs director — that is, chief lobbyist — of NFPRHA.

The group is something of a DC lobby for family-planning organizations including Planned Parenthood chapters.

But it's the way Mark Bittman, lead food columnist for the Times magazine, does it that really the crashes the whole GMO delusion. Writing in his April 2 column, "Why Do G.M.O.'s Need Protection?", Bittman leads with this: "Genetic engineering in agriculture has disappointed many people who once had hopes for it." As in: the party's over, turn out the lights.

Opensecrets.org is reporting that President Obama has just signed “a rollback of key transparency provisions of the STOCK Act.”

Last week, the Senate stripped out the enforcement provisions of the Act and today President Obama quietly signed the rollback.

13 Worst Predictions Made on Earth Day, 1970

April 23, 2013

The 1970s were a lousy decade. Embarrassing movies, dreadful music and downright terrifying clothes reflected the national mood following an unpopular war, endless political scandals and a faltering economy.

Popular culture was consumed with decline, especially Hollywood. The Omega Man, Soylent Green, Damnation Alley and countless other dystopian films showed a planet wrecked by war, pollution and neglect. In large part, the entertainment industry was reflecting the culture at large.

In 1970, the first Earth Day was celebrated — okay, “celebrated” doesn’t capture the funereal tone of the event. The events (organized in part by then hippie and now convicted murderer Ira Einhorn) predicted death, destruction and disease unless we did exactly as progressives commanded.

Behold the coming apocalypse as predicted on and around Earth Day, 1970:

She and her organization did not report it to state health officials or anyone else who could have stepped in...

Released: Exclusive Information on Saudi National Once Considered a Person of Interest in Boston Bombings

April 22, 2013

Background points:

A Saudi national originally identified as a “person of interest” in the Boston Marathon bombing was set to be deported under section 212 3B — “Security and related grounds” — “Terrorist activities” after the bombing

As the story gained traction, TheBlaze’s Chief Content Officer Joel Cheatwood received word that the government may not deport the Saudi national, originally identified as Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano refused to answer questions on the subject when confronted by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) on Capitol Hill.

An ICE official said a different Saudi national is in custody, but is “in no way” connected to the bombings.

A congressional source, however, says that the file on Alharbi was created, that he was “linked” in some way to the Boston bombings (though it is unclear how), and that documents showing all this have been sent to Congress.

Key congressmen of the Committee on Homeland Security request a classified briefing with Napolitano

Fox News’ Todd Starnes reports that Alharbi was allegedly flagged on a terrorist watch list and granted a student visa without being properly vetted.

Sources close to the investigation also told him the Saudi is still set for deportation.

New information provided to TheBlaze reveals Alharbi’s file was altered early Wednesday evening to disassociate him from the initial charges

Sources say the Saudi’s student visa specifically allows him to go to school in Findlay, Ohio, though he appears to have an apartment in Boston, Massachusetts

Sources tell us this will most likely now be kicked from the DHS to the DOJ and labeled an ongoing investigation that can no longer be discussed.

'MarcoPhone' Program Covers Area Including 200k Sq Miles, 7+ Million People, Open-Ended Funding

April 22, 2013

In designing a federal grant program, one can opt for very general eligibility criteria, to provide certain flexibility, but strictly limit the funding to ensure the grant is narrowly applied. One could, alternatively, detail very specific eligibility criteria, with less restrictions on funding, to ensure grants get where they are intended. Applying very general criteria with loose restrictions on funding, however, is a recipe for potential fraud. This is the exact problem with the proposal dubbed "MarcoPhones."

The ROOT of America's BIGGEST Problem: Goofball Lib Feinstein 'regrets' talk of declaring Boston bombing suspect a military combatant

April 22, 2013

Sen. Dianne Feinstein said Sunday she “regrets” discussions on whether the surviving Boston bombing suspect should be interrogated as a potential enemy combatant.

The California Democrat told “Fox News Sunday” the Obama administration’s High Value Interrogation Group will interview suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, he will be read his Miranda rights at a later date and federal courts, not a military commission, can handle the case.

"I really regret all of this discussion, which is creating a conflict that need not be there,” she said. “The administration is ready. … I don’t think all of this is very helpful.”

The Power of Being “Offended” in Order to Shut Down Political Debate

April 22, 2013

Has society really become quite thin-skinned, or is acting “offended” a new tactic that is being used to shut down legitimate political debate? Progressives are increasingly claiming to be offended whenever those on the right disagree with their left-wing positions. It doesn't matter what the issue is; the left will divert a legitimate political debate into an accusation that the right disagrees with them because they are full of hate towards them. This puts the right on the defensive, and removes the real debate from discussion. It then becomes difficult for the right to ever prevail with their position, because to do so would mean “hate” had won.

Immigrants More Likely to Identify as Liberal, Put International Law Over Constitution

4.22.13

This study from the Hudson Institute has wider implications beyond the current debate over amnesty. It places the blame for its findings on a failure of patriotism.

A country whose educational institutions are less patriotic and more liberal will play a crucial role in the shaping of a less patriotic and more liberal population. Immigrants who tend to get their identity more from education than national culture (tellingly immigrants are more likely to rank professors higher than soldiers, in contrast to native-born Americans) are more likely to lean left.

Boston Jihad Bomber Visited mosque tied to "militant Islamic underground movement" many times

Surveillance showed the older Tsarnaev brother visiting a Salafi mosque in Makhachkala 6 times, meeting with a member of an Islamic underground group. More of the poisonous fruit of Obama whitewashing jihad from counter terror programs in the US.

Police: Boston Bombing Suspects Didn’t Have Gun Permits

April 22, 2013

You have got to be kidding me!

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts police official say the brothers suspected of bombing the Boston Marathon before having shootouts with authorities didn’t have gun permits.

Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert Haas tells The Associated Press in an interview Sunday that neither Tamerlan Tsarnaev (tsahr-NEYE’-ehv) nor his brother Dzhokhar had permission to carry firearms.

He says it’s unclear whether either ever applied and the applications aren’t considered public records.

But he says the 19-year-old Dzhokhar (joh-KHAR’) would have been denied a permit because of his age. Only people 21 or older are allowed gun licenses in Massachusetts.

The suspects were also accused of hijacking a Mercedes on Thursday night.

Haas says the pair didn’t release the driver, but he escaped when he was left alone while the two men entered a convenience store.

Two Arrested in Connection to Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect

4.22.13

You just can't make this stuff up!

Two men arrested driving a BMW bearing the license plate “Terrorista #1″ are being connected to captured Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

The Daily Mail is reporting that two foreign nationals were arrested in New Bedford, Massachusetts over immigration violations. The students were named by neighbors by the first names of Azmat and Diaz, and drove a black BMW 330XI with the personalized license plate and a bumper sticker that reads: ‘F*** you, you f****** f****’. Misunderstood youths, perhaps?

The New York Daily News also reported that the youths were picked up on routine immigration charges. Obviously, the newspaper didn’t want to drone on about that little tidbit.

They are thought to be from Kazakhstan — yes, yes, the home country of Borat — and disappeared themselves until being nailed by FBI agents at their ground floor apartment in a Friday night raid. A woman was also taken into custody believed by the Daily Mail to be somebody’s girlfriend.

The Daily Mail found pictures of the car on the Twitter timeline of @J_tsar, which is believed to be that of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Oh, Twitter — you aren’t worthless, after all.

Hope Still Alive and Well: Benghazi Whistleblowers Talking to Congressional Investigators

April 21, 2013

Benghazi is back in the news again. The terrorist attack on the American consulate that claimed the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, has received new interest due to whistleblowers who may have new information to give to congressional investigators:

CBS News has learned that multiple new whistleblowers are privately speaking to investigators with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee regarding the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attacks on the U.S. compounds in Benghazi, Libya.

The nature of the communications with the whistleblowers and their identities are not being made public at this time. But in response, the Oversight Committee yesterday sent letters to the three federal agencies involved: the CIA, the Defense Department and the State Department.

The letters make the case for the whistleblowers to be able to share sensitive or classified information with their own attorneys, and ask for each agency’s official description of the legal steps that process must follow. The letters also state that additional witnesses may be “compelled by subpoena to give testimony.”

Secretary of State John Kerry, who assumed his new role in February, recently told the House Foreign Affairs Committee that it is, in his opinion, time to “move on” from Benghazi. But there are still many unanswered questions about security failures and the initial messaging from the White House that the attack was a “spontaneous” protest against an anti-Islam video that had gone awry.

A report released from an independent panel charged with looking into the State Department’s handling of Benghazi concluded that “systemic failures and leadership and management deficiencies” led to lax security at the consulate. The report also noted that the ”first reference to the anti-Islam film that was initially blamed for sparking the attack was not detected on social media until a day later.”

Four officials at the State Department were relieved of their duties due to the report. Then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is thought to be the likely frontrunner for the Democratic Party presidential nomination in 2016, was not held accountable.
