Tea Party Republicans flex muscle, put Boehner in tight spot as shutdown looms

House Speaker John Boehner once again finds himself caught in the middle of a Capitol brawl between Tea Party Republicans and his Democratic counterparts, as he tries to navigate the choppy political waters and prevent a government shutdown at the end of the month.

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: ‘OBAMA HAS BEEN PLAYED’

Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer slammed President Barack Obama’s “epically incompetent” foreign policy on Thursday, one day after Russian President Vladimir Putin published a critical op-ed in the New York Times.

Harry Reid: “…ANARCHISTS! Anarchists roaming the halls!”

09/13/13

No doubt leering at the staff, too:
Reid (D-Nev.) said Tea Party Republicans are preventing progress on an energy efficiency bill by offering amendments on ObamaCare and other unrelated issues.
“We’re diverted totally from what this bill is about. Why? Because the anarchists have taken over,” Reid said on the Senate floor. “They’ve taken over the House and now they’ve taken over the Senate.
“People who don’t believe in government — and that’s what the Tea Party is all about — are winning, and that’s a shame.”
Actually, what that is is a lie. On a variety of levels:

Why China is making a big play to control Africa's media

    09/13/13

When one of South Africa’s biggest newspaper chains was sold last month, an odd name was buried in the list of new owners: China International Television Corp.
A major stake in a South African newspaper group might seem an unusual acquisition for Chinese state television, but it was no mystery to anyone who has watched the rapid expansion of China’s media empire across Africa.

An Interesting "Stranger Than Fiction" Read: The man who stopped World War III and sacrificed his career

    09/13/13

Attention Readers: Please feel free to shed some light on this incident. As I have no recollection of this event which allegedly occured in my early "who gives a damn" years. Nor am I familiar at all with the "Indian news site" source who posted it.  True or not, it is a well written story that could easily become a box office hit lol.

Exactly 30 years ago, when early warning systems indicated the Soviet Union was under nuclear attack by the United States, air defence officer Stanislav Petrov went by gut instinct and decided the alarm was false. It was a decision that saved the human race – and ended his career.

Stanislav Petrov became a celebrity in the West. In February 2013 he got the Dresden Peace Prize. Source: Sergey Pirogov / Ria Novosti

Place: Serpukhov-15, a ballistic missile early warning command and control post south of Moscow.
Time: Just after midnight, September 26, 1983.
Officers of the elite Soviet Air Defence Force are about to begin their night shift at the top secret installation. Their commander, Lieutenant Colonel Stanislav Petrov, 44, pushes back in his chair and is prepared for what he thinks is yet another routine watch, when suddenly the silence of the bunker is shattered by wailing sirens.

Obama has no 'red line' for child-rapes committed by illegal aliens

    09/13/13
    by Dave Gibson

President Obama has spent the last month trying to convince the American people that war with Syria is necessary because the Assad government supposedly injured and killed a number of children.
Obama has also claimed that Assad has crossed the 'red line,' set by Obama himself in regards to the alleged use of chemical weapons, and continues to cite the violation of 'international norms' as reason enough to put U.S. service members in harm's way.
However, thousands of children in this country are raped every year by illegal aliens, while Obama does nothing to protect the border, nor simply to even enforce current immigrationlaws.
To the contrary, Obama has basically ended all deportations and halted all construction on the border fence mandated by the Secure Fence Act of 2006.
One need not travel to a Syrian village to view examples of crimes against humanity, you need only visit your local jail which is undoubtedly home to several illegal alien child predators.
For example, there are 100 counties in the state of North Carolina, a state particularly hard-hit by illegal alien sex crimes, an examination of those jailed in only one of those counties provides a sobering glimpse at the dangers now facing this nation's children...
The Rowan County Sheriff's Office inmate list revealed the following illegal alien sex offenders, currently in custody:
    Inmate Name: PEREZ, FRANCISCO PEREZ
    Facility: RCDC
    DOB: 2/24/1971
    Charge(S): INDECENT LIBERTIES WITH CHILDREN,
FIRST DEGREE SEXUAL OFFENSE (VICTIM UNDER 13)
    Inmate Name: RAMOS, JOSUE ESPINOZA
    Facility: ANNX
    DOB: 10/11/1990
    Charge(s): INDECENT LIBERTIES WITH CHILDREN,
    KIDNAPPING, STATUTORY RAPE
    Inmate Name: ROMERO, HUGO CERVANTES
    Facility: ANNX
    DOB: 3/20/1976
    Charge(s): INDECENT LIBERTIES WITH CHILDREN,
    SEXUAL BATTERY
    Inmate Name: ROSALES, RAUL BERNAL
    Facility: ANNX
    DOB: 8/22/1977
    Charge(s): RAPE
    Inmate Name: ROSALES, APOLONIO HERMOGENES
    Facility: RCDC
    DOB: 4/19/1970
Charge(s): INCEST-FELONY BETWEEN CERTAIN NEAR RELATIVES,
    RAPE, INDECENT LIBERTIES WITH CHILDREN
Remember, this is only one county out of 100, in one state out of 50.
These cases are not mere speculation, nor are they the invention of an unpopular politician, desperate to rally the nation behind him.
No, each one of these cases of child molestation represent a life forever altered, many of these children will turn to drugs and alcohol in an attempt to escape the horror their attacker forever inflicted upon their memory; others will turn to suicide to permanently escape; and all will permanently suffer.
Of course, as with all crimes committed by illegal aliens, these unspeakable acts are 100 percent preventable.
We simply must have a president willing to enforce the law!
Does not the rape of a five-year-old girl violate 'international norms?'
See further examples of how much Obama cares about the children:

UPDATE: Wisconsin's Third Largest Teachers Union Decertified on August 31st

    09/13/13

[Kenosha, Wisc...] The Kenosha Education Association (KEA), the state's third largest teachers union, was officially decertified on August 31, 2013 according to the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission.
Mark Belling, who broke this story on Thursday, said that the decertification came after a recent vote by members in which only 37 percent voted to reauthorize the union.
KEA is the largest teachers union to disband since Act 10 was signed into law in 2011. The union had 2,400 members according to their website. Act 10 limited collective bargaining rights for public employees and required public unions to have an annual vote to recertify.

Did The Planes Crash into the Buildings on 9/11 Because They Ran Out Of Gas?! (Our Schools at work)

    09/12/13

Posted on Wed 11 Sep 2013 09:12:34 PM EDT by Pajamajan

My roommate's 7 Yr old came home from school wearing red , white, and blue.
Out of curiosity, I asked her- Did she learn anything about 9/11 today?

She said yes, that her teacher told her about the planes that crashed into the buildings and blew up, because they ran out of gas.

    (Unbelievable.)

I tried to talk to my roommate about these completely made up facts that were "taught" to her daughter, but, she said they "probably told the kids this because they are too young to understand what happened."

I then asked her -Did she think that it would be too hard for a child to understand that bad people did 9/11 on purpose?

She said no, but, that she's not really bothered by what the teacher said.
I further asked- Did she know what Pearl Harbor was?

She said yes, but that she didn't understand it until she was in high school.

I said OK, but, when you were in school, did any of your teachers ever tell you that Pearl Harbor was a series of boating accidents?

    She said no.

I told her that I thought the teacher was wrong to give the kids false information.

Unfortunately, she didn't want to talk about it beyond that.

This is another sad example of what's going on in our education system. UGGGGhhhhh!!!!

The Affordable Healthcare Act (aka, Obamacare) started with Hillary Clinton in her aborted efforts when Bill Clinton was President. The Muslim Brotherhood Is Flexing Its Muscles At LSU

    09/12/13

On Thursday evening, September 5th, the LSU Reveille published an article about the intention of the LSU chapter of the Muslim Student Association’s (MSA) intention to become “more noticeable on campus” and conduct “outreach” into the community.
The MSA also seeks to alter what it says are misconceptions about Islam.
This seemingly benign announcement is something worth taking a closer look at, mainly because there are actually significant misconceptions about the Muslim Student Association in the Reveille article.
As we will show in this article, the MSA is an organization about which much is known. It is an organization with a past and it is an organization that has had some rather “interesting” leaders and members over the years. All of this means that the presence of the MSA at LSU should be of concern to students, faculty, the administration and state and local law enforcement officials.

Labor unions still support the law's overall goals of reducing health costs and bringing coverage to all Americans, the resolution says, but adds that the law is being implemented in a way that is "highly disruptive" to union health care plans.
