Judge’s trial begins: He allegedly sold kids to private juvenile jails

This story hits close to home for me because I used to practice law in Luzerne County, PA. It wasn’t my home county, but I was there regularly. Two judges – Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan – are involved. Conahan pled out. Ciavarella is standing trial against a heinous set of allegations. His jury selection begins today.
