Obama Ignores Union Hate; Admonishes Governors (VIDEOS)

President Obama jumped back into the Wisconsin union debate, taking the side of the vitriolic protesters and their union bosses. And why not? The President is in control of the bully pulpit for the time being; of course he will use it to support those who elected him. With the 2012 election cycle looming, Obama is looking to the unions to once again pony up half a billion dollars from forced union dues for his reelection.

The video below is Obama admonishing state Governors for vilifying public workers. As has happened so many times in the past, there is little evidence to support vilification on the side of Republican Governors, who have consistently made their point that collective bargaining in the public sector is hurting the state budgets and that benefits have gotten out of hand. After all, there is a reason why the federal government does not allow collective bargaining.

Most of the true hate and villification is coming from the labor unions, the DNC, and the Obama election apparatus who are organizing the Wisconsin protests. The President skipped over his own role in the Wisconsin mess. I guess we should expect no less from our leader at this point. Eventually, people will realize that this argument is not about infringing upon people’s rights; when has Obama ever cared about that? The President is upset that Republican Govenors may be infringing upon his campaign donations.

Govenor Walker’s statement in response to Obama’s misguided villification comments.

Walker’s office issued this statement:

“I’m sure the President knows that most federal employees do not have collective bargaining for wages and benefits while our plan allows it for base pay. And I’m sure the President knows that the average federal worker pays twice as much for health insurance as what we are asking for in Wisconsin. At least I would hope he knows these facts.

“Furthermore, I’m sure the President knows that we have repeatedly praised the more than 300,000 government workers who come to work every day in Wisconsin.

“I’m sure that President Obama simply misunderstands the issues in Wisconsin, and isn’t acting like the union bosses in saying one thing and doing another.”
