Police Probe 2 Deaths at CA Democrat Fundraiser’s Mansion /CA Liberal Media Ignore

Shacknai mansion on Coronado Island...and where is Jonah Shacknai?

San Diego area police are still collecting evidence from the 27-room historic mansion on Coronado island where two people close to millionaire Jonah Shacknai have had met with violent ends in the space of one week.

Rebecca Nalepa Zahau, the much-younger girlfriend of pharmaceuticals millionaire, found naked, bound and hanging from a balcony at his house

Investigators are clamming up. Shacknai, founder and CEO of Medicis Pharmaceuticals either was or was not in the mansion when his 32 year old girlfriend Rebecca Nalepa Zahau was found with her hands and feet tied behind her, hanging in a noose from a 2nd floor balcony.

Shacknai’s 6-year-old son by a previous marriage reportedly fell down stairs at the home last Monday and is/was in a coma, may be braindead, and may or may not be dead, according to conflicting reports.

Shacknai “spokesmen” are spinning him as the dutiful dad and boyfriend, great businessman, and making available many photos of the “happy couple.” blah blah.

The Coronado “Patch” blog notes the national media are now covering the Coronado “mystery” deaths. However, it is interesting that the two main newspapers in the state, both very liberal and pro-Democrat in their editorial outlook, are studiously avoiding coverage of this significant crime. The San Francisco Chronicle, fishwrapper that it typically is, has been going wall-to-wall with the deadbeat who walked off with a Picasso from a San Francisco art gallery. Now THAT’s IMPORTANT. The Los Angeles Times has carried only one deeply-buried newswire story a few days ago.

Again, why are the two largest newspapers in California, one literally in the backyard of the murder/death scene, ignoring this story when they offered daily coverage of the Casey Anthony murder trial which was on the other side of the country?

I am sure the fact that Jonah Shacknai is a multimillionaire DEMOCRAT donor to many prominent DEMOCRATS has nothing to do with it. Move along now. Just a dead naked woman bound and strangled hanging from his balcony. Just a little boy turned into a vegetable or dead.. …..Move along. Nothing to see here.

No wonder there is such a huge loss of readership of these two despicable idealogical bird cage liner newspapers. They cannot be trusted to cover the news. They cannot be trusted to have compassion or the slightest empathy for people who are possibly the victims of the politically-well-connected. Shameful.

CORONADO, Calif. – Investigators returned to the mansion owned by a valley multi-millionaire after his girlfriend was found dead earlier this week.

54-year-old Jonah Shacknai’s 27-room mansion is in Coronado Island near San Diego.

32-year-old Rebecca Zahau’s body was found by Jonah’s brother.

Her hands and feet were bound and she was hanging from a balcony with no clothes on.

Detectives say Jonah Shacknai was not at the mansion when Rebecca’s body was found and that he is cooperating with the investigation.

On Friday night, detectives returned to the mansion with a search warrant.

Police still haven’t said if Zahau’s death was a murder or suicide.

The couple had been living together for the past few years at Shacknai’s Paradise Valley home.

In a holiday party pictures, Jonah and Rebecca look like a happy couple. In the same month the pictures were taken, Rebecca left her job at Horizon Lasik in Scottsdale.

Shacknai founded Medicis and since 1998, he’s served as chairman and CEO. The company’s products include acne treatments Solodyn and Ziana and he facial wrinkle treatment Restylane.

Paradise Valley police say they’ve had some sort of contact with Shacknai in the past, but California investigators asked them not to release those reports, which will be released on Monday.
