Al Qaeda's Least Favorite Network
Russ Vaughn
Writing at the Washington Post, David Ignatius, reveals some telling truths about Al Qaeda and their perceptions of America. Given an early, exclusive look at some of the intelligence derived from the Osama bin Ladin mission and its aftermath, Ignatius points out that the terrorists had such a low opinion of the abilities of Joe Biden that they wanted to assassinate Obama to ensure Biden's accession to the presidency.
But most telling is a statement by American turncoat, Adam Gadahn, Al Qaeda's media adviser. In a discussion of how to gain the most advantage with a pro-Al Qaeda, propaganda video to be released in 2011 to commemorate their 9/11 attack, Gadahn purportedly says:
"It should be sent for example to ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN and maybe PBS and VOA. As for Fox News let her die in her anger," Gadahn wrote. At another point, he said of the networks: "From a professional point of view, they are all on one level - except [Fox News] channel, which falls into the abyss as you know, and lacks objectivity, too."
The point of that statement is so obvious that even WAPO can't avoid it although Ignatius does relegate it to the very last paragraph in his article:
What an unintended boost for Fox, which can now boast that it is al-Qaeda's least favorite network.
What an unintended boost indeed to be considered by our enemies to be the only American news network that can't be manipulated by their propagandists. Telling truths, indeed, and coming from a liberal media outlet, no less.
