On Tuesday, Media Matters noticed that Fox News weekend anchor Heather Childers had sent several Tweets linking to stories from a site called GrandfatherPolitics.com and Examiner.com — most notably the former site’s post on a possible threat to murder Chelsea Clinton:
Facing backlash on Twitter over the Clinton article, Childers later apologized to anyone “offended” by the post, calling the reaction “very interesting:”
FOX News’ Michael Clemente, SVP, News responded:
“The tweets have been addressed with Heather and she understands this was a mistake.”
