A man is out on bond after being accused of sexually abusing a boy for at least two years’ time in Mission.
Mission police booked Jose Vicente Peña into the Hidalgo County Jail on Thursday.
The 31-year-old man is charged with an aggravated sexual assault of a child charge.
Investigators told Action 4 News that an 11-year-old made an outcry back in July prompting a criminal investigation.
The boy told detectives that Peña sexually abused him between 2009 and 2011.
Police reported that detectives found enough evidence in the case to secure an arrest warrant for Peña.
The 31-year-old was released from the Hidalgo County Jail after posting a $50,000 bond on Friday.
