Ronald Reagan Remembered: Exclusive Interviews

President Ronald Reagan’s reputation continues to gain momentum even on his 100th birthday, which is Sunday. If the Gipper were alive to celebrate the Feb. 6 centennial, he might be embarrassed and slightly amused about all the praise he draws these days.

Not that he hadn’t earned plenty of respect and love before his death, as the man who had sprung from humble roots to become an actor, a governor, a president, and a world leader.

One can’t help but suspect that this humble man would smile his flashy, trademark grin, and spout one of the one-line quips he was famous for, if he watched this special exclusive Newsmax.TV video, a compilation of comments from those who knew him then and love him still. They include the likes of foe-turned-friend Mikhail Gorbachev; Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, who was White House political director under Reagan; former Attorney General Edwin Meese, longtime adviser to Reagan in California and in the White House; former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, whose father, George H.W., was Reagan’s vice president; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich; and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, as well as former GOP vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

With no further ado, here’s the video:
