Attack Watch: Obama’s New Campaign Website

Attackwatch.com is the Obama campaign’s new website to “expose” his political foes by allowing users to “report attacks” on his economic policies. The glossy new website - which features pundits and GOP candidates such as Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, and Glenn Beck - models sites like Politifact and FactCheck.org, but with a little more spin and a hell of a lot more slant.

“President Obama’s opponents are still using false claims against him and his record in an attempt to derail our momentum,” says the site’s copy, as it “clarifies” the President’s views on Israel, gun control, immigration, and the TARP bailout. Here are a few examples of what the site calls “Attack Files”:
Immigration Reform Inaccuracies: Republican media figures have accused President Obama of refusing to deport hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants.
Israel and Middle East Falsehoods: President Obama’s opponents have falsely suggested that the President has not been a strong ally to Israel.
Gun Control Gossip: Public figures have made outlandish claims that President Obama is planning to use a United Nations treaty to take away legal firearms from gun owners in the US.
TARP Bank Bailout Smears: Attacks claiming the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) was signed into law by President Obama are factually incorrect.

Attack Watch has it all: users can “Report Attacks,” they can “Join the Attack Wire,” and above all, “Support the Truth!”

With that said, anyone who says Obama is not in campaign mode needs a serious brain examination.
