Global Socialist Revolution

Saturday, October 15, 2011

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Nikita Khrushchev addressed the capitalists in 1956, and said, "We will bury you." He was not referring to the Soviet Union necessarily burying The West. He was saying that communism would bury The West. "History is on our side," he said. Indeed, Khrushchev was right.

The Founding Fathers of the United States were quite aware of history, and in their research they determined that the only government that may stand the test of time, and fight off the advances of oligarchy such as we see in governmental philosophies like communism, is a constitutional republic where self-governance and a central system worked together. The system of representation would divide the power not only through the separation of powers between the three branches of government, but also a division of power that extended to dividing the power between the federal government, the people, and the States. Only powers necessary for the protection, and preservation, of the union would be granted to the federal government. The remaining powers would be reserved to the States, and to the people.

The founders recognized that history revealed that all governments of history eventually deteriorated into an oligarchy. To avoid the emergence of a government where the many ruled over the few, those early patriots had to do everything they could to fend off the advances of statism, and democracy. The States, or more specifically State Sovereignty, in addition to keeping this nation virtuous, were among the keys necessary in enabling this nation to survive the onslaught of statism.

The Declaration of Independence points out that all men "are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights." As long as a nation is virtuous, they will place God at the top of their priorities. A nation that believes in God recognizes that our rights are given to us by Him, not government. If government gave us our rights, then government can take them away. This is one of many reasons that liberal systems of government like utopianism, communism, socialism, and even American Progressivism, denies the existence of God; or in the case of the monarchies during the time of the founding of this nation, take control of the church. Without God, or with religion under governmental control, the government becomes the primary priority in one's life when it comes to morals, rules, and rights. In that way, government, without God in the way, has a greater opportunity to exert control over the people.

Opposition to the limited government created by the U.S. Constitution emerged immediately. Alexander Hamilton challenged the limiting principles of the Constitution by introducing his theory of "Implied Powers" while trying to put into place a central bank. John Marshall, the fourth Chief Justice of the United States, through a written opinion in regards to the Marbury v. Madison case, unilaterally gave the federal judicial system to authority to determine what the powers of the federal government are, regardless of the opinions of the States or the people, through a concept we know as Judicial Review.

After more than two centuries of a liberal assault on the American system of governance, we are on the verge of losing it. A conservative president of the United States, President Ronald Reagan, defeated the Soviet Union, but true to Nikita Khrushchev's declaration, anti-capitalism is alive and well in The West, and is accomplishing what the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was unable to do during the Cold War. Indeed, they are burying us. Statism, socialism, communism, or whatever label you want to give it, is bringing down The West.

The Occupy Wall Street protests have slowly evolved into a global insurrection against capitalism. Democrat politicians are throwing their support behind the Occupy Now groups, as is the Nazis, Communists, and any other socialist group you can think of. . . of course they are - they are all leftists, and statists.

Steven Lerner, the head of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), which is closely associated with the Obama administration, and the Democrat Party, is one of the voices behind this emerging revolution. He has continuously called for exactly this. Like other hard left liberals, Lerner has called for people to stop paying their bills, to strike out against the banks and corporations, and to essentially collapse the system in a Cloward-Piven manner in order to bring about a new system, in order to bring about a new global system of governance that is socialist in nature. Big government, liberalism on steroids, is only the beginning of the madness. This Occupy Now movement is not something we should be taking lightly. It has "French Revolution" and "Marxist Revolution" written all over it. This is a worldwide effort to destroy freedom, and usher in a global statist system that makes the enemy we defeated in the Soviet Union look like a purring kitten.

Rome is the latest to join the growing worldwide revolution that is demanding Marxism, and a new system of global communism. The road will be one of chaos, violence, and blood in the streets, just as I and my fellow conservatives have been predicting since the day Obama and the radicals that surround him took office.

In Italy the City of Rome has been a scene of complete chaos as hundreds of hooded, masked protesters rampage through Rome in some of the worst violence in the Italian capital for years. Cars are being set aflame, windows are being broken. They are protesting capitalism, blaming the achievers in society for the worldwide economic downturn that was actually brought about because of the decades upon decades of the creeping incrementalism of liberalism.

Mussolini would be proud.

Thanks to the progressive policies of nations around the world, where entitlements and heavy governmental spending have been in high gear for decades, the entire global economic system is on the verge of collapse. However, it is not the capitalist achievers that have placed our system at risk, but the leftist elites that run government, who are the very same people behind this rising worldwide violence. The international bankers have been working since the creation of the federal reserve to get us to this point. In fact, it even began long before that. The mercantilists of Britain, and American mercantilists like Alexander Hamilton, planted the seeds of what we are seeing bloom today. But instead of correcting the system, the leftist ruling elite wants to borrow more money, pump more money into failing entities, and prop up the offending banks so that either they can keep the control they have, or so that they can collapse the system, and rise up with even more power than before.

The entire system of our global economy, we are being told, is at risk in ways never seen before in history. I am here to tell you is was all planned.

The protesters are crying for democracy, as a result of the anger ginned up by the liberal leftists. They want to take full control through the vote of the people. They want to go from one extreme to the other, but indeed that is what the elites want, because pure democracy always leads to the very system of statism the global elites seek. Even Karl Marx once recognized that little nugget truth, saying, "Democracy is the road to Socialism."

One must only look back to history to realize that what is happening is exactly according to plan.

“Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you,” - "Of course we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you.” – Soviet Leader Nikita Khrushchev

And have you seen how the press is favorably reporting on the Occupy Now groups, while negatively reporting on the Tea Party which endeavored to point us away from this madness?

“The press is our chief ideological weapon.” — Nikita Khrushchev

“The press should be not only a collective propagandist and a collective agitator, but also a collective organizer of the masses.” - Vladimir Lenin

Obama is exactly who they have been waiting for to help usher in the revolution.

“There are no morals in politics; there is only expedience. A scoundrel may be of use to us just because he is a scoundrel.” – “To rely upon conviction, devotion, and other excellent spiritual qualities; that is not to be taken seriously in politics.” - Vladimir Lenin

“The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.” - Vladimir Lenin

As for the protesters? What did you expect? The educational system has been programming them with the liberal ideology. The leftists have been teaching them they are all winners, giving them all trophies, and programming them to think that they are so special and when things didn't work out for them upon reaching adulthood, government will be there to take care of them. As a result we have a lazy, free loading generation of angry people and they have taken to the streets, just as they were taught to do through public education.

“Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.” – “Give us the child for 8 years and it will be a Bolshevik forever.” - Vladimir Lenin

The protesters scream and tell us "This is what democracy looks like." And they are right, for democracy is mob-rule, and these mobs are out to crush the system, collapse the governments, and re-make the system in the image of the enemy we thought we defeated. . . communism.

“Democracy is indispensable to socialism.” - Vladimir Lenin

The people have spoken and they have democratically chosen global secular socialism. In government power they now trust - without God, without Faith, without virtue.

“Our program necessarily includes the propaganda of atheism.” - Vladimir Lenin

The liberal left has propagated a lie, and now their deception has come to fruition. The Tea Party exposed the lie, and they hate the Tea Party for it. They have been exposed, and now they have no choice but to either crush all dissent, usher in a violent revolution, or both. It seems they have chosen the latter.

“The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”: Joseph Goebbels was born in 1897 and died in 1945. Goebbels was Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda

And while you focus on the Occupy Now violence that is spreading, don't discount the Democrat Party's involvement, and don't underestimate what is going on south of the border. The Mexican cartels are pushing Mexico over the edge, and the American Democrat Party has armed them with American guns to not only assist them in their endeavor, and not only hoping that the violence will spill over into the United States, but to also demonize American gun ownership and open a window for the confiscation of guns - right in line with the leftist United Nations agenda. And understand, the federal government not only ensured that the Mexican drug gangs would get their hands on the guns, but they purchased the guns themselves and provided them to the drug gangs.

Just another step in promoting the global revolution.

Of course they want to confiscate the guns worldwide. How can you control a population that is armed? Japan never launched a ground assault in the United States during World War II because, as Isoroku Yamamoto, Fleet Admiral and Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II put it, "Japan would never invade the United States. We would find a rifle behind every blade of grass."

The Second Amendment was specifically written to protect the people from a tyrannical government. Armed citizens are not subjects. As Suzanna Gratia Hupp once said to a governmental panel, "The Second Amendment exists to protect us from you."

The global system that the liberal left is hoping will rise out of the chaos, however, is also being watched by another group. The Islamic Caliphate received a head wound after World War I, when the Ottoman Empire was defeated. The Islamic Caliphate is ready to be resurrected, and the liberal progressive socialist system that the global revolution hopes to put into place would create the infrastructure Islam could use to form an even larger caliphate than before. Islamists are licking their chops, as they watch the chaos, and madness, coincide with the spread of Shariah across Europe, the deepening of Shariah in Muslim nations thanks to the Arab Spring, and a slowly growing movement towards Shariah in the Western Hemisphere, and more importantly, in the United States. Dearborn, Michigan is an example of how strong of a foothold Islam has in America.

The final push by the leftists will be for the Democrats, backed by their liberal base, to use the Occupy Now protests against conservatives, and against the Republican Party. The establishment republicans will cower like usual. But the assault against freedom is not necessarily aimed at them. The liberals already know that moderate republicans like Mitt Romney are already useful idiots for them. The aim will be at Tea Party conservatives, in an attempt to destroy the last vestige of dissent against the rising global liberal-Marxist Revolution.

Conservative Constitutionalists, my friends, are in their crosshairs. The liberals successfully created anger against Bush, and successfully turned that anger against the GOP in time for the 2006 and 2008 elections. Now they are ramping up their effort. They are creating anger against the entire American System of freedom, capitalism, and limited government through things like this Occupy Now protest movement, and they will be turning that anger against the conservatives and achievers of this nation. The skirmishes we have seen beginning to erupt is only the beginning. The protests in front of the homes of the rich in New York is just a start. They will bait you, they will try to drag anyone who dares to oppose them, into their madness. We must not fall for the trap. Truth is our weapon. Education is our spear.

As Nikita Khrushchev demanded, they are trying to bury us.

The battle has just begun.

Media Spin: Occupy Wall Street Did Not Burn Buildings... People Marching With them Did

Posted by Aurelius at 6:54 PM

First off, I would like to point out that no Tea Party rally in my recollection ever created violence, resulted in crimes, or culminated in arson, let alone burning buildings and cars. Second, nearly every "Occupy Wall Street" event has had some sort of crime take place during or because of it, many of which happen to be felonies.

And yet, the Main Stream Media is trying its damnedest to explain away the wave of violence that has come out of the Occupy Wall Street protests. Case in point, ABC's exceedingly slanted articled entitled Rioters Hijack Rome Protests, Police Fire Tear Gas.

Thus, their first paragraph reads like so:
Italian riot police fired tear gas and water cannons Saturday in Rome as violent protesters hijacked a peaceful demonstration against corporate greed, smashing bank windows, torching cars and hurling bottles.
Let me break this down for you, even though I'm quite sure anyone can see right through this drivel. ABC goes out of its way to say that "peaceful protesters" were rightfully demonstrating against corporations. It emphasizes, however, that the riots were "hijacked" by violence.

According to ABC, this did not happen

The major, disgusting problem with ABC's slant is that they never say were these so-called hijackers came from. Instead, their article makes it readily apparent that these thugs were at the event the entire time, marching in solidarity and on the behalf of Occupy Wall Street.

Also did not happen, according to ABC

Even the headline, Rioters Hijack Rome Protests, Police Fire Tear Gas, emphasizes the supposedly violent steps police took to ensure safety. In the first paragraph of the story, ABC conveniently left out that the rioters were also burning buildings. The spin is so incredibly deep that it is bewildering, but sadly not unexpected.

On top of it all, ABC also decided to completely ignore the violent rhetoric coming out of Occupy Wall Street, like members' call for the beheading of children and hanging of capitalists.

But I am not surprised. This is the Main Stream Media, after all.

Occupy Wall Street Protesters Desecrate American Flag

Idiot Protesters of the Day

The freaks are still out clogging up traffic in Manhattan. Clearly their lives are so empty they skipped enjoying a lovely autumn day to make nuisances of themselves.

They are the 0.99%.

Check out this douchebag wearing a gas mask yet saying he isn't anonymous. OK, twerp, then show your face. The hardhat is really a cool look, as if this puke has ever performed a day of labor in his miserable life.

Then we've got this guy, who clearly is behind payments on his student loans.

They're really itching to become violent. But remember, they're very peaceful or something. As of several minutes ago:
Cops are pushing and shoving protesters who won't follow orders and move down 46th st.

Police are forming a line with barons and telling protesters the street is
closed to move.

Protesters are chanting "whose streets? Our streets." Many don't want to move.
It would be nice if there was a responsible Democrat out there to call off their dogs. But why would they do that? They want this.

The incident with a protester being "run over" by a police scooter is a fraud. Here's proof

OWS Goes Pallywood: A Frame by Frame Analysis of an Attempted Media Fraud

John on October 14, 2011 at 4:12 pm

Here’s what happened this morning when police tried to clear the streets on their scooters. A man later identified as an observer for the National Lawyer’s Guild was supposedly run over by a scooter and lies on the ground screaming. Here’s the AP photo and their caption:

Caption: A New York City police officer runs over a National Lawyers Guild observer as Occupy Wall Street demonstrators march through the streets near Wall Street, Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, in New York.

It certainly looks bad. And at first blush the video of the incident seems worse since the man in question is screaming, apparently in terrible pain. Here’s the clip:

Now let’s walk through this carefully and see what actually happened. Starting at 6 seconds we see the scooter is stopped and the cop has his feet on the ground and is walking it forward:

At 8 seconds the scooter is off screen but you hear a man begin screaming loudly. The camera moves and at 10 seconds we see the man on the ground. But at 12 seconds we can see that his feet are not under the scooter:

The man continues to scream but the camera jostles behind some other eager photographers. Finally at 17 seconds we get a new view and now the man’s leg is directly in front of the rear wheel of the scooter:

He’s writing and screaming for several more seconds as if in terrible pain. The cop gets off the scooter.

At 22 seconds and you’ll hear someone in the crowd yell “He’s having a seizure! He’s having a seizure!’ Clearly they are trying to explain what they are seeing which doesn’t make any kind of ordinary sense.

At 25 seconds you hear a loud thud which is the scooter being knocked over. As we’ll learn in a moment, it was kicked over by the supposed victim to free his “trapped” leg. At this moment the man stops screaming. We lose the image again until about 33 seconds at which point the man is rolled over on his face and is being arrested by two cops (on the right):

At 35 seconds you can see the scooter is down:

There’s another video from a slightly different angle which shows the same thing. Here’s the moment right after the screaming starts. Note again that his feet are not under any part of the bike:

Now, just to make it clear what is being alleged, the National Lawyers Guild claims his foot was trapped and that’s why he kicked over the scooter:

“He was observing the protest and he was run over by a police motorcycle,” said Zainab Akbar, 31, another legal observer with the lawyers group.

“His leg was stuck under the bike, and he kicked his leg to get the bike off his leg, and then the police attacked him and shoved him into the ground and put a night stick against the back of his neck,” Akbar said.

Well, as you’ve just seen, that’s a flat out lie. He wedged his own foot under the scooter. Fortunately, in addition to the video we have the testimony of an eyewitness on the scene. A NY Daily News photographer explains what he saw:

Daily News photographer Joe Marino, who witnessed the confrontation, said “the bike definitely hit him” but the officer didn’t run him over. “I saw him sticking his legs under the bike to make it appear he was run over,” Marino said of the lawyer.

To its credit the NY Times is publishing doubts about this as well:

[Police spokesman] Mr. Browne said he was also told by The Associated Press that one of its photographers witnessed Mr. Douglas deliberately putting his feet under the scooter.

And in case there’s any doubt what the cops think, they charged him with criminal mischief:

Mr. Douglas was charged with felony criminal mischief, obstructing judicial administration, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, Mr. Browne said.

This is the OWS version of Pallywood. I hope this guy, whose name is Ari Douglas, faces some kind of discipline from the bar for this attempted fraud.

Fakers, Frauds and Phonies… Far Left and Democrats Prove Once Again They Are Nothing More Than Immoral Power-Hungry Hacks

Posted by Jim Hoft on Saturday, October 15, 2011, 12:12 AM

In 2001 the United States and a coalition of over 30 countries invaded Aghanistan and ousted the evil Taliban leadership after the attacks on 9-11. In 2003 the United States and a coalition of over 30 countries invaded Iraq after the majority Democrat Congress passed a resolution citing many factors to justify the use of military force against the Saddam regime.

For the next 5 years from 2003 until 2009 democrats and the far left did everything possible to undermine the efforts of our troops. They accused our soldiers and marines of being cold-blooded killers, no better than Pol Pot or Nazis, mercenaries and losers. Democrats even voted to defund the troops fighting in Iraq.

But, all of that changed in 2009. Despite the fact that Barack Obama has continued two wars, started a third war and now is sending troops to Uganda, a country that poses absolutely no threat to the United States, the democrats and far left radical groups are completely silent. You won’t hear a peep from the Marxist frauds in Code Pink. They’re still attacking Cheney, Rumsfeld and Condi for imaginary “war crimes.”

This just proves once again that the democrats and far left are complete phonies. These fakers are not anti-war. They’re anti-American and anti-conservative. They are immoral and corrupt. And, they continue to prove it more and more everyday.

Now they want to #OccupyJudaism

Posted by William A. Jacobson Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 1:52pm

There have been some highly publicized anti-Semitic outbursts at the Occupy Wall Street protests, as well as claims of anti-Semitism lodged against the organizing group, AdBusters.

So now some progressive Jews have formed an Occupy Judaism movement presumably to deflect from the criticism and to mainstream Jewish progressives into the various Occupy groups:

As protest movements under the banner of Occupy Wall Street grow in cities across the United States, a parallel movement calling itself ‘Occupy Judaism’ has sprung up as well.

Occupy Judaism is a movement of those who are unhappy with not only the state of American society, but perhaps with Jewish life in America as well. Like the succot built at several protest sites, Occupy Judaism indicates the Jewish presense among protesters claiming to represent the “99 percent” of the country disenfranchised and dissatisfied with inequalities in American society….

“There are a lot of Jews who have been really affected by the economy,” Rabbi Alana Suskin, a participant in Occupy DC, said. “There may be one synagogue in the country where no one has lost their jobs. Jews also have their poor. It’s the unspoken elephant in the room. Not everybody’s well off. Probably most Jews are part of the 99 percent.”

OccupyJudaism now has a Facebook page and numerous local offshoot pages.

Wall Street: Occupied by Anti-Semites?

Posted on October 13, 2011 by John Hinderaker

Given the extraordinary media attention that was paid to fictitious claims of racism at Tea Party rallies, it is amusing to see the press avert its eyes from repeated incidents of anti-Semitism at Occupy Wall Street protests, even as Democratic politicians endorse the “movement” almost unanimously and without qualification. A group called the Emergency Committee for Israel produced this short video titled “Hate at Occupy Wall Street.”

It wouldn’t hurt to give Obama, Pelosi et al. a call to express disapproval of their tolerance of such sentiments.

Liberate Wall Street

Infiltrate and Humiliate!

In the glorious spirit of erstwhile Protest Warriors and Communists for Kerry, disorganized multitudes of pro-capitalist miscreants and saboteurs are getting organized again! Meet Liberate Wall Street - a loose coalition of the willing to mock, satirize, and expose the leftist absurdities of the Wall Street Occupussies.

The Occupussies demand free lunch in exchange for a total Big Government takeover of their lives. That would have been funny if that didn't involve the takeover of everyone else's lives as well - including yours and mine. They are too misguided and too misinformed to realize that "A government big enough to give you everything you need, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have." Their favorite politicians, celebrities, teachers, and mass media are on their side and that doesn't help.

So let's help them to start thinking. OK, the thinking part may not happen right away, but we could plant sound seeds that may later sprout in their polluted brains. And if that fails, at least we'll kick some hot air out of their enormously inflated egos and have fun in the process.

Join the Facebook page, crash the Occupussies in your local areas, take pictures of your actions, make videos, and post them below on this thread.

Read the Liberators' Facebook statement:

As you all may have seen over the last number of weeks, the seditious Left is attempting to strike at the heart of Capitalism itself - Wall Street! We can no longer stand idly by while these radicals attempt to collapse our free market system. Using the left's own playbook - Rules For Radicals, we will "Infiltrate and Humiliate" the Marxist hoards.

We will NOT reveal ourselves. We will NOT have a website. We will not have any visible leaders. Our goal is to humiliate and embarrass. We will sow the seeds of paranoia and doubt among the left. We will expose them for the fools they are. Our plan is simple: Infiltrate and Humiliate.

With this in mind, General Secretary and I have prepared a number of simple black-and-white PDF signs that you can download (below) and print in any size at home or at your local print shop. You may as well think of your own signs, or reproduce ours with markers on a poster board. We can always add more later.

A Holodomor for the New Millennium

By William Sullivan
October 15, 2011

In 1928, Joseph Stalin began a "program of agricultural collectivization" which included a mandate that farmers and peasants surrender their lands and livestock and submit to labor upon state-owned communal farms. When Ukrainian farmers opposed this tyrannical affront to the rights of men, Stalin accused them of "bourgeois nationalism," an individualistic identity antithetical to the Communistic rule of the Soviet Union.

In response to their defiance, Stalin raised militias to expropriate and deport the Ukrainians to the Siberian tundra. When production stalled, he enacted decrees to arrest or execute any among the starving peasantry for taking or hiding "as little as a few stalks of wheat or a potato from the field he worked." By 1933, "Ukrainians [were] dying at a rate of 25,000 a day, more than half of which [were] children. In the end, up to 10 million starve[d] to death." This event has come to be known as the Holodomor, which means "death by hunger."

This is far from the only incident of man-made famine the history of the twentieth century provides. Mao Zedong, in 1959, created his own initiative for state-sponsored "agricultural collectivization" known as The Great Leap Forward. It was during this time, as recounted by researcher Nicholas Eberstadt with the American Enterprise Institute, that peasants and farmers were organized into "huge collectives that socialized feeding as well as farming" with the explicit aim to "destroy the family as an institution." The following years saw the failure of Mao's Great Leap, which resulted in "the state's exaction of grain from the communes" and the starvation of those that populated them. Then, "for the crime of being hungry, the peasants were sentenced to political terror." Today, we know that as many as thirty million people died in this period of "excess mortality," a crime against humanity the scope of which Eberstadt likens thusly: "It would be as if the entire population of California had been swept off the face of the earth."

Cambodia experienced a similar scenario of famine as the Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot worked industriously to cultivate their own brand of "agricultural collectivism." And in the years leading up to the turn of the millennium, similar practices in North Korea produced a man-made famine that claimed as many as three million lives.

The trend is not obscure. In all of these scenarios, starving populations met their end under the oppression of Communism. One might wonder how the advocate of Marxism would support his position given these far-too-little-known atrocities produced by its principles. He might suggest that the likes of Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and Kim Il-sung were just bad seeds -- that the ideology did not fail man, but instead evil men failed the ideology.

This, however, is nothing more than a collectivist's fantasy.

The proof of this continues to haunt us in the new millennium. A recent Reuters report offers that "[i]n a pediatric hospital in North Korea's most productive farming province, children lay two to a bed. All showed signs of severe malnutrition: skin infections, patchy hair, listless apathy." This first sentence illuminates more than it might at first seem. Note the phrase "most productive farming province," and consider what this means. It suggests one of two things: either the government is forcefully confiscating the product of the nation's most successful laborers and purposefully starving them and their children, or this limited information given by a secretive North Korea shows only the tip of the iceberg in terms of the current suffering, meant to spur emotions and elicit aid while hiding the epidemic's severity. In either case, we can be certain that once again, the diseased product of Marxist principle is claiming victims in this, the newest "holodomor."

Certainly, each of these men referenced, including Kim Jong-il, is an evil and murderous example, corrupted absolutely by the power given him. But clearly, the more convincing parallel is that the very ideology of collectivism and socialism creates the need for such men. Human nature resists any attempt to seize the product of one's labor beyond what he would offer of his own volition. To function and maintain any semblance of rigidity, any socialistic government must break down this innate quality of the human spirit in its people, to be replaced with a new ideology that wholly conflicts with it. To ensure that this process, commonly known as "re-education," takes hold, force must be used and examples made.

But alas, does any of this evidence really matter in America today? After all, it did not matter in the last century. Even after the Holodomor, the Great Leap, and the Khmer Rouge, advocates of Marxism like Howard Zinn were still able to convince millions that the grand Marxist vision of enslaving human potential is preferable to nurturing it to flourish.

But perhaps today, futile as it might seem, it is more important than ever to be reminded of this correlation between Marxism and the human misery it yields. Certainly, it is prudent for us to recognize the travesty of the orchestrated murder taking place in Kim Jong-il's country. Even before 2008 sanctions, there was ample evidence that he was "diverting donated food" for his own purposes.

But from a practical and domestic standpoint, the dismal situation in North Korea can serve as a reminder of what true suffering is. No, not the kind of suffering that Americans commonly think of when they address the suffering they endure daily. The kind of suffering that prompted thousands of youths and seasoned counterculturalists, Marxists, and Maoists to hit the streets in the Occupy Wall Street movement -- like having to pay a mortgage, or having to pay for the service of health care, or having to pay for higher education, or having to work to earn a living wage, or just the sheer suffering that comes of knowing that someone has it better than they do. No, North Koreans endure real suffering -- fear, starvation, and death at the hands of its ruling class.

And perhaps there is value in reflecting upon and lamenting the intense irony derived from thousands of privileged Americans, supported by prominent Democrats, outspokenly begging for the application of Marxist principles -- while on the other side of the Earth, muted masses are suffering and dying under the weight of that very yoke.

Democratic Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia is headlining a fundraiser this weekend for the controversial Council on American-Islamic Relations along with an imam tied to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing who urges the violent overthrow of the “filthy” U.S. government and the establishment of Islamic law.

CAIR’s 17th annual banquet Saturday at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va., features the theme “Making Democracy Work for Everyone.”

Imam Siraj Wahhaj, designated by the Justice Department as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in the WTC bombing, is promoted as a keynote speaker along with Moran.

The evening banquet concludes a day-long leadership conference offering workshops on subjects such as “counteracting Islamophobia,” “challenging scapegoating of Muslims in the 2012 election” and countering “the anti-Shariah campaign,” referring to state legislative efforts to ensure Islamic law is not implemented in the U.S.

Make a donation of $25 to protect the free flow of information about threats to America’s security and get both the e-book and the hardcover edition of the book that exposes CAIR, “Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America.”

As WND reported, Moran, a longtime supporter of CAIR, was forced to step down from his leadership role as regional whip in 2003 after he blamed the influence of the Jewish community for the U.S. war in Iraq.

Wahhaj’s presence at CAIR’s 2009 annual banquet prompted an activist group to launch a campaign to urge the hosting hotel, the venue for this year’s event, to cancel.

As WND reported, Wahhaj, a regular CAIR fundraiser and a former member of its advisory board, initially was a featured speaker but ended up giving only a short fundraising appeal at the banquet.

As late as nine days prior to the 2009 banquet, CAIR featured Wahhaj and White House adviser Dalia Mogahed in its promotions as its two marquee names. But on the eve of the event – after WND reports of Wahhaj’s radical views as documented in WND Books’ best-seller “Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America” – a press release did not even mention them.

White House Refuses To Hand Over Obama BlackBerry Messages On Solyndra

October 14, 2011

Earlier, they were subpeonaed.

Now, a source says they will withhold some documents, which I take to mean all the important documents.

Check out the editorializing by CNN in the first three words here, insisting that there's nothing at all amiss.
Consistent with precedent, the president's legal counsel is refusing to hand over all internal White House communications related to the energy firm, including President Obama's Blackberry messages, arguing that the president needs to protect open counsel from advisers and staff.

In part, the letter obtained by CNN says the request "implicates longstanding and significant institutional Executive Branch confidentiality interests. Encroaching upon these important interests is not necessary, however, because the agency documents the Committee has requested, which include communications with the White House, should satisfy the Committee's stated objective - to 'understand the involvement of the White House in the review of the Solyndra loan guarantee and the Administration's support of this guarantee.'"

"Consistent with precedent."

Roger Noriega: Civil War In Venezuela

Posted by Secure Freedom Radio Oct 13th 2011 at 3:01 pm

Tonight on Secure Freedom Radio: Is Iran contracting with the drug cartels in Mexico to kill people in the United States? Weekly commentator at Secure Freedom Radio and Visiting Fellow at AEI, Roger Noriega offers his insight on this topic, among other Latin American issues.

What is of paramount concern to Noriega is that there is an expanding network of Hezbollah activities in Venezuela that have been linked to Iranian sponsorship. This network continues to grow throughout Central and South America. As the realistic possibility of Hugo Chavez’s death looms over the nation, sources within the country believe that tension will continue to increase. Chavez’s cronies are trying to hold onto power any way they can. This includes arming themselves with weapons in preparation for a civil war that might break out after the death of Chavez. Additionally, they have partnered with Russian, Chinese, and Iranian arms organizations to supply continued arms to the leadership. A majority of these arms have ended up in the hands of narcotraffickers in South America. The US Department of State seems completely oblivious to these actions.

Video: New Black Panther Leader Speaks at Occupy Boston

Morgen on October 13, 2011 at 2:13 pm

This is Jamarhl Crawford, the head of the New Black Panther Party in Boston. The comments themselves are pretty banal, although he amusingly admonishes the (presumably) mostly white liberal audience for ignoring black inner city poverty in favor of such important causes as saving the whales and baby seals. (He has a point here.) But can can you imagine the reaction if a Tea Party event hosted – much less applauded – a speaker from a racist hate group?

It cuts off abruptly – part 2 is here. Did I mention Crawford is a racist? Here’s a blast from the past from our

“Kill Whitey”

Or how about some good old-fashioned anti-semitism?

It’s no wonder smarter liberals are already starting to distance themselves from the Occupy protests. Personally I hope Krugman’s Army keeps on going strong all the way through November 2012.

Occupy Boston Displaces Food Drive, Spits On Soldier; Right Sphere Raises Money for Boston Food Bank

Posted by Matthew Knee Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11:00am

Yesterday, #OWS Boston assaulted a female Coast Guard member in uniform:

The Coast Guard in Boston confirmed that a woman in uniform was harassed and spat upon near Occupy Boston protesters.
The woman was walking to the train and said protesters spit on her twice, called her foul names and even threw a water bottle at her.
Now, the Coast Guard is warning all staff working on Atlantic Avenue to avoid those protesters while in uniform.

Meanwhile, they also displaced a food drive:

Occupy Boston Defines Irony, Causes Cancellation Of Food Drive And Small Business-Heavy Festival
Thanks to Occupy Boston’s takeover of Dewey Square, the “Greenway Mobile Food Fest,” scheduled to take place this weekend, has been canceled. Organizers hope to reschedule the event for next spring.
Fortunately, the blog The Right Sphere has mobilized conservatives to replace the lost donations that the Greater Boston Food Bank suffered due to #OWS:

Since ‘Occupy Boston’ has forced the cancellation of the Greenway Mobile Food Fest, The Right Sphere is trying to raise $1,000 for the Greater Boston Food Bank, which was supposed to benefit from that event. Please consider donating as little as $1, $5 or $10 to the Greater Boston Food Bank to help defray the Occupy movement’s damage to Boston’s nonprofits and to to show that we can put ourmoney where our mouth is and support the needy in Boston. You can do so using the button below. We understand that times are tough, so if you are unable to donate at this time, you can still help by sending this to others and posting this on any social media platforms you may use.

They are past $4,000 so far. Who Really Cares indeed.

Obama's Disastrous Foreign Policy: Missing Libya Missiles Turn Up in Gaza

Saturday, October 15, 2011

He sided with the Brotherhood in Egypt and went to war for Al Qaeda and jihadist elements in Libya. Now this ........ I told ya so, in The Post American Presidency: The Obama Administration's War on America.

Missing Libya Missiles Find Their Way to Gaza Border ABC News

Some of the thousands of surface-to-air missiles that have gone missing since the collapse of the Gadhafi regime in Libya have now turned up just miles from the Israeli border.

U.S. officials say there were 20,000 Russian-made anti-aircraft missiles in Libya before the uprising, and thousands have disappeared in the looting of Moammar Gadhafi's arm caches. According to the Washington Post, many of those Russian-made anti-aircraft weapons are being sold in Egyptian black markets, and so many are available the price has dropped from $10,000 to $4,000.

Egyptian officials told the paper they have intercepted looted Libyan weapons, including anti-aircraft guns, missiles and artillery, on the road from Libya into Egypt, in black markets on the Sinai Peninsula, and in the smuggling tunnels between the Sinai and Gaza.

The heat-seeking surface-to-air missiles, most of them shoulder-fired, have a range of two miles and would pose a threat to Israeli helicopter and planes on either side of the Israel-Gaza border.

Though Libya had an estimated 20,000 man-portable surface-to-air missiles before the popular uprising began in February, Assistant Secretary of State Andrew Shapiro told ABC News in September the government does not have a clear picture of how many missiles they're trying to track down.

A spokesperson told ABC News that the State Department "commend[s] Egyptian authorities" for seizing the missiles and other arms.

"We are seeking additional information from Egyptian authorities as their investigations continue," said Noel Clay. "Egypt is one of several nations in the region where we have held discussions about potential conventional weapons proliferation from Libya in recent months. It is clear that the Egyptian government shares our concerns about weapons smuggling."

"Preventing the proliferation of these weapons is of international concern," said Clay. "We are committed to working with the Libyan Transitional National Council (TNC), Libya's neighbors, and the wider international community to build a coordinated approach to this shared security challenge."

U.S. government officials and security experts have long been concerned some of the thousands of heat-seeking missiles, along with smaller arms, could easily end up in the hands of al Qaeda or other terror groups.

"Matching up a terrorist with a shoulder-fired missile, that's our worst nightmare," Sen. Barbara Boxer, D.-California, a member of the Senate's Commerce, Energy and Transportation Committee, said in September.

The missiles, four to six-feet long and Russian-made, can weigh just 55 pounds with launcher. They lock on to the heat generated by the engines of aircraft, can be fired from a vehicle or from a combatant's shoulder, and are accurate and deadly at a range of more than two miles.

ABC News visited a massive weapons depot in Tripoli, and confirmed that the arms were unguarded and available to whoever could cart them away. Crates upon crates of weapons and ammunition, from AK-47 assault rifles to grenades to surface-to-air missiles, were forced open and their contents missing.

Peter Bouckaert, emergencies director of Human Rights Watch, told ABC News that "once these missiles go missing they are not that large and they can be easily hidden. It's very difficult to track them down. They can be moved across borders and can be very easily used.''

"Those are not weapons you want floating around this already volatile region," said Bouckaert.

This Week in Government Failure

Posted by Tad DeHaven

Over at Downsizing the Federal Government, we focused on the following issues this past week:
Rep. Mike Pompeo wants to terminate the Economic Development Administration—and for the right reasons.
Recent history shows that government efforts to micromanage industry range from unnecessary to disastrous, be it green energy, automakers, or the housing market. Small wonder, then, that the government has so drastically mismanaged its own “business”: the United States Postal Service.
On Steve Jobs and charity.
Workers’ compensation costs for postal employees are unnecessarily high thanks to stale federal laws and bureaucratic ineptitude at the USPS and the Department of Labor.
Attention Occupy Wall Street protestors: the problem isn’t capitalism, it’s the “crony capitalism” that’s been fostered by an unhealthy relationship between government and business.

My discussion with an Occupy Portland supporter, Part 1

By Jeffery Reynolds (Scribe) on October 13th, 2011

So, I got into it on Twitter with a supporter of Occupy Portland on Wednesday.

It started out with him calling me a Tea Party fanatic and me accusing him of the sin of envy. I told him that the reason he thought I was a fanatic was because I was telling him things he didn’t want to hear. Instead of getting more heated, the conversation evolved into a respectful discussion of the issues that the protesters are trying to discuss. We both agreed to let each other blog the email dialogue that ensued. (We went back and forth most of the day, so I'm breaking this up into 3 posts).

Nice to meet you.

Hi Mike,

I actually think that we might find some common ground. I am no conservative idealogue, I am simply a seeker of truth and common sense.

So let's get down to it. Why do you think it's ok to redistribute a private citizen's wealth?

To: Jeffery Reynolds

My problem is, like a lot of the people in the Occupy movement, I have complaints and no answers. I'm not specifically against the redistribution of wealth.

I'm against the excessive collection of wealth while other people, who work just as hard or harder, suffer. I think EVERYONE should have the same chance to succeed when honestly they do not currently. Society is stacked against the common person, no matter how hard they work.

I refuse to believe that any professional Athlete, Executive, anyone, truly 'earns' hundreds of millions a year in income nor do they have any legitimate need for it. The truly "1%", although that term is ridiculous, literally accumulates more wealth than could be spent in their entire lifetime or their grandkids lifetime while people starve elsewhere who are working 2-3 jobs just to 'get by'.

At the absolute least I believe the massively weathy "1%" should carry an equal burden, equal to their wealth, to put a fair percentage of that wealth back into this country. Instead of using corrupt politicians, lawyers, and tax laws to shelter everything in other countries. I believe wealth should be used, by people and by the government and businesses, not literally sitting and collecting more wealth.

Idealogically I'm likely considered a Socialist but you and I both know that system doesn't actually work. It looks good on paper but never works when someone tries to implement it.

Jeffery Reynolds

To: Mike Rigsby

Hmmmm.

So did Steve Jobs have too much wealth? What, in your mind, would make that unjustified? Wasn't he just a common man before he started inventing stuff? How bout Thomas Edison or Henry Ford?

And if you're a Socialist but admit that the system doesn't work, then a) why be a Socialist, and b) what system works better?

Should there be any cap on earnings?

Mike Rigsby
Wed, Oct 12, 2011 at 10:14 AM

To: Jeffery Reynolds

Sadly those questions fall into that category of what I said about not having any answers to what's a better solution. I fully believe Steve Jobs worked his way up from nothing and earned the right to live very well. But who decides what "live very well" means?

I don't believe Steve Jobs worked any harder than someone who works 2 or 3 jobs just to survive though.

I have huge respect for people like Bill Gates who has made billions of dollars but he also puts huge amounts of that money back into the economy, donates to charities, etc. He literally supplied computers to every single library in the country.

Earn all the money you want. I just think that after a reasonable point there should be some responsibility associated with that money. "With great power comes great responsibility". The problem all the truly wealthy have all the benefits with zero responsibility. All their wealth is sheltered in offshore accounts while they live like parasites off the people who are "less fortunate."

I'm not against being wealthy at all. I'm against wasted resources and wealth is a resource. It should be being put to use by everyone.

In theory Socialism is structured on a countries wealth and resources being gathered and equally distributed amongst everyone so that everyone was equal. Great in an unrealistic idealistic society. The problem is that system breeds corruption because the decision makers horde it. It breeds laziness because people get provided for whether they work for it or not. The concept of equality is nice, but there's no realistic means of reaching it.

I'm just as much against the 'Bottom 1%' as I am the 'Top 1%' because I'm also sick of people who are parasites, living on unemployment and welfare because our Government provides everything for them whether they work for it or not while our taxes are where that money is coming from. Realistically both the top and bottom minorities in this country are parasites, living off the center.

Eventually that system will collapse because either the "middle class" will disappear as they either manage to get rich and join the Top 1% or they burn out and fail and become that Bottom 1%.

I honestly do think there should be some kind of cap on earnings. Hell, even a cap of $1 mil a year would be prefectly reasonable. That's vastly more than anyone truly "needs". But then again, who enforces such a thing and how?

Occupy Wall Street: Beheading of Children, Hangings Will Make People "Fall in Line"

As days go on, it becomes evident that the Occupy Wall Street "movement" grows more and more desperate. The other day we covered them attacking one another and after that we uncovered their attempts to scrub their website. Now, they have taken their insanity to a whole new level: they are calling for the beheading of "white kids," the "hanging" of capitalists, and the murder of parents.

Their violent and murderous rhetoric is all over their movement, along with their atrocious antisemitism. Here are just a few examples of the hundreds out there.

"Lop heads off a few white kids:"

This screen shot was taken by this intrepid site, before it was removed by Twitter

From the Occupy Wall Street website, a user responds to what to do with capitalists after the 'revolution:'
And from the same thread, "there is not forgiveness for those that have no soul (Capitalists):"
On another thread, yet another user says "people will have to die" and that the US should become like "North Korea" (expletive blurred):
And yet another person call for death, but this time for the religious:
Occupy Wall Street asks: why not kill your parents?
One Twitter user simply pushes for the murder of celebrities:
This last particular person is unnervingly insane, with posts like these (not to mention a skull for his/her profile picture):
There is a clearly violent aspect of this movement. Anyone around these people needs to be careful.

Oh, Super: Romney Consulted With Obama Mass Sterilization Expert and Science Czar John Holdren

The ever-morphing policy positions of Mitt Romney are sufficiently disturbing on their own.

But if it's true that Romney consulted with Obama's crazed 'Science Czar' John Holdren, he should step out of the GOP race today.

Barack Hussein Obama has clotted the executive branch with unaccountable “czars” — unsavory characters too extreme to be confirmed for cabinet positions even by a hyper-partisan, Democrat-controlled Senate. Among the most alarming of these malevolent lunatics is Science Czar John Holdren, a participant in ClimateGate who has advocated de-developing America and putting sterilants in the public water supply...

...Holdren has also spoken in favor of forced abortions, confiscation of babies, targeted as well as mass involuntary sterilization, bureaucratic regulation of family size, and global authoritarian government. If there is a line between ultra-left ideologue and evil maniac, Holdren clearly crosses it. No one to the right of Pol Pot would want John Holdren advising our leaders.

This brings us onto still more common ground between Barack Obama and Willard “Mitt” Romney. From an official memo released by Willard’s office when he was Governor of Taxachusetts, announcing “Strict New Clean Air Regulations“ [i.e., Cap and Trade]...

...Sound familiar? Obama wanted to impose Cap & Trade nationwide, but it would so obviously cripple the economy that he couldn’t get it through a Democrat Senate that was radical enough to pass ObamaCare — the national version of RomneyCare.

Now to the even scarier part: In the development of greenhouse gas policy, Romney Administration officials have elicited input from environmental and economic policy experts. These include John Holden [sic], professor of environmental policy at Harvard University…

Of course, that was back in 2005. By now everyone knows that global warming is a hoax, and CO2 is harmless. Everyone except Mittens, that is. He continues to proclaim that economic activity makes it be too hot out.

This comes on the heels of reports that President Obama met with Romney's key advisers while designing Obamacare.

Newly obtained White House records provide fresh details on how senior Obama administration officials used Mitt Romney’s landmark health-care law in Massachusetts as a model for the new federal law, including recruiting some of Romney’s own health care advisers and experts to help craft the act now derided by Republicans as “Obamacare.”

Romney's shape-shifting positions are so flagrant that even Democrats are producing flip-flop videos of the sort that pulverized John Kerry in 2004.

Look, folks: I'll support Mitt Romney against Barack Obama if he's the nominee. But he's not the nominee. Herman Cain, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich are all vastly superior candidates -- and vastly more electable in the general -- than Mitt Romney.

We don't need another John McCain or Bob Dole. We don't need another mushy centrist with ill-defined principles. Too much is at stake this year. While there may not be a Reagan in the race, there are Constitutional conservatives to choose from. And choose from them we must if this Republic is to survive.

We did it! We killed the CLASS Act, a key component of ObamaCare.

By Dean Clancy on October 14, 2011

We did it! We took down CLASS!

Today the White House officially pulled the plug on the CLASS Act, a key component of ObamaCare.

This is a huge development in the health care debate.

CLASS -- a Great Society style nursing home care entitlement authored by liberal lion Ted Kennedy -- was enacted in 2010 as part of ObamaCare.

But CLASS was poorly designed and actuarially unsound, and represented a massive taxpayer bailout risk.

And the folks in President Obama's HHS knew it.

But they gagged their own internal experts in 2009 and 2010, to keep the risk from being known publicly.

Had Congress and the American people known about the bailout risk, ObamaCare would very likely not have become law.

Last month, a congressional investigation finally exposed the internal warnings, and the White House's stone wall began to crumble.

Even the socialized-medicine zealots in the Obama Administration could no longer deny the truth.

With the president's poll numbers in the tank, and his reelection in serious doubt, they decided to cut their losses. The new nursing home entitlement had to go.

Today, they put out the announcement. They will not proceed with implementing this turkey. CLASS is dead.

This is a sweet victory for the many Americans who fought long and hard to stop ObamaCare from passing -- and one tinged with bitter irony, because of CLASS's key role in the law's enactment.

The new entitlement had been added to ObamaCare as a budget gimmick. It had been purposely crafted to look like a revenue-generator during its first 5 years of operation, when the government would be collecting premiums from participants but not yet paying out benefits. This would make the federal books look better by some $70 billion during the period, according to the Congressional Budget Office. And this in turn enabled congressional Democrats and the President to mask ObamaCare's true costs. By appending CLASS to ObamaCare, they could crow that the controversial legislation "wouldn't cost taxpayers a dime."

Well, their own actuaries knew otherwise, but couldn't say so publicly. CLASS would have cost taxpayers trillions of dimes.

If not repealed, ObamaCare will cost us even more than that: trillions of dollar, and more important, our freedom to control our own health care.

Meanwhile, the President's egregious mishandling of the health care issue is already costing the nation terribly, with health plan premiums rising and some economists blaming the new law, which doesn't take full effect for another two years, for continuing economic uncertainty and poor job growth.

Folks, the fall of CLASS is just the start.

In jettisoning this one flawed piece, the president's advisors may think they've made the law easier to preserve. But instead, they've confirmed their own cynicism, dishonesty, and wrongheadedness, and thus given momentum to the movement to fully repeal the law -- and replace it with a truly patient-centered system.

Congress should hold immediate hearings on this fiasco. What did the White House know, and when did they know it?

Meanwhile, we should savor this victory -- it's a taste of more to come.

(For more information, read our report on the CLASS Act coverup.)

Pelosi Left Out of Leaders Meeting on Super Committee

By Meredith Shiner
Roll Call Staff
Oct. 14, 2011, 2:41 p.m.

Congressional leaders met this week with two of the most important people in Washington: the co-chairmen of the Joint Committee for Deficit Reduction. There was only one problem: House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi didn’t even know the meeting was taking place.

With work on the all-important super committee finally kicking into high gear, panel co-chairmen Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) and Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) met with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) in the leadership suite of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). Kyl is also member of the deficit panel.

Though sources close to the principals declined to comment on the nature of the discussions between the leaders, they all confirmed that Pelosi was not present.

In addition, Pelosi and Reid held their regular weekly meeting at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, just moments after the session in McConnell’s office ended.

A House Democratic leadership aide said Pelosi’s office had no advance knowledge of the super committee leadership meeting, and it was not clear why she was not included.

There then was a “miscommunication” between Pelosi’s and Reid’s offices, according to sources familiar with the events surrounding the meeting in McConnell’s office. But at what level the miscommunication occurred is in dispute. After news of the session surfaced, Reid’s camp informed Pelosi’s that Reid was not present, leading Pelosi’s staff to believe the meeting was just the co-chairmen and Republican leadership. Multiple sources, however, confirmed that Reid was present at the session to discuss the deficit reduction panel, which needs to produce a final recommendation of at least $1.2 trillion in savings over the next 10 years.

Given the timeline of events, it is unclear whether Pelosi knew or asked directly about the larger meeting in her personal talk with Reid, who was the architect of the joint committee and pushed for its inclusion in the Budget Control Act.

If Pelosi is being shut out of Congressional leadership meetings, it would not be the first time. In April’s negotiations to pass a continuing resolution and avert a government shutdown, Pelosi was not in the mix with Reid, Boehner and President Barack Obama, who ended up negotiating the deal.

Pelosi was more involved, however, in this summer’s fight to raise the debt ceiling. House Democrats provided pivotal votes to avert government default, and an important leadership meeting the Sunday before the final deal was approved was held in her office suite.

But the Wednesday incident highlights the sometimes-frosty relationship between Reid and Pelosi, and the apparent leadership power play Wednesday gives a window into the division between Democrats on how to move forward, at best, and continued personal beefs, at worst.

As far as the super committee negotiations have gone, leaders have been relatively hands-off to date, with Reid even telling reporters late last month that he was “leaving the super committee alone.” But if Wednesday’s meeting is any indication, time is running out for members of the bipartisan, bicameral panel to find their own solutions without the heavy influence of leaders.

Are you better off than you were 14 trillion dollars ago?

- Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh
Thursday, October 13, 2011

The last three years have turned our country upside down politically, economically, racially, morally, fiscally, and internationally. I no longer recognize the U.S. that many citizens around the globe admired, aspired to emulate, dreamed to visit, owed their freedom to, and considered big brother in times of need, disaster, and danger.

We have lost the NASA space program and our leading edge in space. We are now left with renting a chair on the Chinese or Russian flights, we are the poor cousin who does not own a car and must pay for a ride.

The emotional and hollow “hope and change” for utopia has turned into a nightmare that some of us recognized from past painful experience. We have lost our triple rating as a financial power, we are a nation with shady credit and insurmountable debt. It threatens our national security.

We have a housing crisis caused and manipulated by Democrat Congressmen like Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Maxine Waters, who kept assuring President Bush that we did not need to clean up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. We did not need to reign in the forced lending of expensive homes to poor people who did not intend to pay them back. Democrats told us that it was unfair to deny mortgages to people with shady credit.

The Administration nationalized Chrysler and GM, violating private contracts, shafting shareholders and bondholders to the benefit of unions and a foreign corporation.

Obama took over college lending with the intention of telling students where to go to school, what to study, where to work when they graduated, and how much money they could make.

Banks who were forced to make bad mortgage loans failed and were bailed out with taxpayer money. Even foreign owned insurance companies received our hard-earned dollars. We made investments in the oil industries of Brazil while preventing American companies from drilling.

This administration stopped giving FEMA funds for disaster relief to states that did not vote for Obama or Democrats. Some states were completely ignored in their hours of need, while others were turned down twice such as the Commonwealth of Virginia.

EPA issued stringent regulations responsible for the shutdown of coal-burning plants that generate electricity. The expressed purpose was to make electricity more expensive and discourage its use. Seventy thousand jobs were threatened in West Virginia due to excessive mining regulations.

Billions of dollars in grants were given to solar panel makers like Solyndra that eventually went bankrupt because they could not make the panels cheap enough to make the industry efficient in generating solar power. Presently solar energy is not going to be able to replace energy needs for the largest economy on earth.

The states of Arizona and Alabama were sued by the Justice Department for passing acts to enforce immigration laws. The federal government failed to protect our borders adequately.

The medical and health insurance system were nationalized by strong-arming Congress, bribing it, forcing the passage of a 3,000-page bill that nobody understood, read, or debated thoroughly as it should have been. In spite of the large citizen opposition, it passed in the dead of night.

Taxes were increased and imposed on the average American while stoking the masses with the lies of “tax the rich,” “tax the corporate fat cats,” “make them pay their fair share,” “make Wall Street pay.” Acorn played a pivotal role in intimidating CEOs into giving in to their demands by protests at their homes. Acorn helped register millions of non-existent citizens, dead voters, animals, and cartoon characters.

College students, who have no understanding of how the economy works or even care to understand how it works, were paid to protest and occupy Wall Street and other cities around the nation with money from SEIU, Daily Kos, Moveon.org, Soros, Van Jones, and other like-minded Marxist outlets. Defecating publicly in parks, stoned, drinking beer, and yelling nonsense, they appear to be the armies that Obama had promised in his pre-election speeches that will “fundamentally transform America” through a communist revolution.

America was not in need of change, it did not need fundamental transformation. The ardent supporters did not pay attention to the message. They were mesmerized by the charisma, the style, the youth, the skin color, and the empty suit promises from a man who never held a real job in his life, just like some of his voters who lived in their parents’ basements.

Protesting capitalism, while listening to music on iPods, using iphones, and other electronic devices invented by entrepreneurial Americans, paid malcontents asked for sleeping bags, food, doctors, medicine, and other goods produced by the free market capitalism.

We now have crony capitalism – only Obama’s friends and donors need apply for special favors, grants, and stimuli. We had so many bailouts, grants, incentives and jobs programs. We have lost count of the billions wasted that lined the pockets of his supporters and Democrat campaign chests instead of fixing our infrastructure, our schools, roads, and bridges.

Unemployment is around twenty percent, not the deceptive nine percent reported in the media. There are almost 25 million unemployed, underemployed, and discouraged workers. This number represents 20 percent of our labor force of approximately 125 million Americans.

College graduates are beginning to wake up that they are not going to find the dream job they thought they were going to waltz into, making a six-figure salary just because they received a college degree in some esoteric field with no job openings or prospects. Nobody wants to start at the bottom and gain experience.

Government does not create jobs, it creates bureaucracies with despotic bureaucrats who take away and control more and more of our freedoms. Small businesses and corporations create jobs, the very corporations that are vilified constantly by Obama and his Democrats.

Obamacare has every employer on the edge about hiring. They are not sure what tax and health insurance liabilities they will incur with each new employee. Business and consumer confidence are very low.

The Democrat controlled Congress passed bills to regulate Wall Street and banks. They are now bearing fruit in the form of higher costs passed on to consumers. Are banks greedy? The greed comes from Congress and Obama’s administration who want power, votes, and re-election contributions. Many bills Congress passed allowed businesses to move overseas, to reduce or eliminate their tax burden, and to make it easier hire foreign workers. Companies made generous campaign contributions to Congress.

The job czar, the head of GE, has moved some GE factories to other countries, citing higher demand and a better business environment. It is a blatant conflict of interest to have the head of GE tasked with the creation of American jobs.

Health insurance premiums have increased by 9 percent and many citizens will not be able to keep their insurance or their doctors as promised. We are losing the best medical care in the world because a few million people needed insurance – we are throwing the baby out with the bathwater instead of addressing the real problems such as tort reform and buying insurance across state lines.

We no longer have culture debates on various issues as we used to have under past presidents: abortion, animal rights, bilingual education, drugs, gun politics, multiculturalism, sexual education, stem cell research, law and order, media bias, moral apathy, feminism, secularism, and the death penalty. These debates are gone as if everything has been resolved and decided by the current regime and the liberal media.

The conservative majority protests by millions under the Tea Party banner were generally ignored by the media. The Taxed Enough Already (TEA) message was distorted, maligned, and astro-turfed. The liberal minority protested violently and the media displayed them ad nauseam as if they are the only citizens in this country. Hate speech replaced political correctness with the same end game, to silence the free speech of conservatives.

Sharia Law was introduced in parts of the country although it is incompatible with our Constitution and our legal system. We seem to be unable to stop its advancement and promotion by a small, well organized, and funded minority.

United Nations Agenda 21 has been stealthily introduced since 1992 at the state and local levels and it is now in the full phase of implementation. The Obama federal government has mandated a Sustainability plan for every department that includes green energy, land use, water use, green building, smart city growth, and green transportation. The end game is to confiscate private property by making it useless to the owner and forcing them into mixed use, high-rise tenements, five minutes from work and school by bike or walking.

Public transportation will replace our use of cars. In certain D.C. suburbs, roads are being narrowed to make driving and parking difficult or impossible. Maryland high school students cannot read or write well but they must pass an environmental literacy exam in order to graduate.

We are ruled by EPA and Department of Energy fiat rules and regulations that empower government bureaucrats to take our private wealth and re-distribute it to the poor in this country and around the globe in the name of social justice.

We have spent trillions of dollars on the War on Poverty and we have not made a dent into this perceived poverty. We have lost this war but the rhetoric of poverty gets louder and louder from the left.

Advisors to the White House want a population control plan because they think the planet is strained and there are just too many inhabitants. The herd must be culled through attrition or birth control because we are hurting the environment. We must become slaves and good stewards to the environment, giving land back to the wild according to the Wildlands Project.

Law and order is no longer enforced, as it should be, officers are looking away as vagrants/protesters occupy public and private areas for weeks but are allowed to stay because owners have ties to either the mayor’s office or the elites in power in Washington. Voters were threatened and intimidated by baton yielding individuals who were not prosecuted.

The compliant media are open promoters of Marxism, no longer afraid to show their true socialist colors they have been hiding for years. Hollywood is promoting and advocating re-education camps for the rich who refuse to give up their wealth in excess of $100 million. If that fails, they are calling for the guillotine. Is this America we know and want?

Nobody respects us in the world anymore. People are shocked that we elected such overt Marxist incompetence in Washington. Where is the unconditional love Obama’s presidency was going to bring us? He is disrespected more than many former presidents because his lavish spending has brought the rest of the world closer to the brink of financial meltdown and ruin.

Luckily, we do have a few items left in our arsenal of freedoms: our dignity, our guns, our voting rights, and freedom of speech and assembly. If they shut down the Internet, we can still meet and honor our duty to save and protect the Constitution and our country from destruction.

Stunner: OWS Turns Violent Again

Obviously caving in to the mob isn't having the desired effects.

Where have you gone, Rudy Giuliani?

Just a few hours after protesters learned they’d be able to stay in Zuccotti Park indefinitely, violence has broken out as a group marched away from it.

A group of protesters were headed south on Broadway toward the New York Stock Exchange. The group swelled quickly and wound up in a confrontation with police as they tried to gain access to Wall Street. A standoff occurred.

Police motorcycles were shaped like a V and moved toward the protesters in the stand off. One man lost his balance, and was run over by a police motorcycle. Police descended on the protester and got him out from under the bike, but violence broke out.

1010 WINS’ Steve Sandberg reported police descended on some protesters, wielding their night sticks and batons. A police captain reportedly hurled his megaphone and wound up rolling around in the street with a protester. Sandberg reports he himself was pushed around by police.

A number of arrests have been made, Sandberg reported.

Riots on Wall Street: Just Like The Tea Party!

Remember that time when the Tea Party rioted, destroyed property, and assaulted police?

Yeah, me neither.

Can't wait for more ads juxtaposing Democratic support for Occupy Wall Street, and pictures such as these:

It's war!

Hundreds of Occupy Wall Street protesters -- emboldened by officials backing down this morning from evicting them from their Zuccotti Park campsite for a 7 a.m. cleaning -- stormed Wall Street, leaping over barriers and getting into a fracas with cops.

The throng of protesters streamed on to Broadway, blocking traffic, setting up a confrontation with police who are waiting for them on the street.

Things turned predictably violent as cops tackled protesters and chased them up the street -- forcing everyone to the sidewalks -- in what turned into a melee.

Police arrested at least eight people on Beaver Street, as a throng of protesters flipped over a police scooter on Broadway.

Thoughts:

- See what appeasement of the Left begets?

- Will the media encourage this behavior, or ignore it, as they do with the sporadic outbursts of "Occupy Wall Street" anti-semitism?

-maybe if these loser liberals would get out there and do a little, you know, work - it wouldn't take "a throng" of them to flip over a freaking scooter...
