Trayvon Martin anti-violence protester ends day by beating up girlfriend, now in jail

Hours after Millersville University college student Akeem Johnson was holding a “I am Trayvon Martin” sign at an anti-violence protest, he decided that kidnapping and beating up his ex-girlfriend was a great way to end the day.

WHP-TV Reports:

According to court papers, after the rally, Johnson went to the victim’s dormitory, Burrowes Hall. He waited for her until she walked in early Saturday morning.

Allegedly angry that his ex stayed out all night, he then followed the young woman onto the elevator and repeatedly punched her in the face and head. Police say Johnson roughly pushed and pulled the girl out of the building and forced her to get into his car.

Johnson then drove to a parking lot on nearby Pickwick Place. He dragged her across a grassy area towards his home, number 142. Fortunately a neighbor heard the victim’s screams and called police. The victim broke free and was taken to the police station to get help.

The victim suffered a split upper lip and possibly a cracked tooth, we’re told she’s doing okay and is getting help from the university.
