18 percent of Americans believe president Obama is Jewish

Gee, I wonder how many of those are Democrats? Hmmm...

18 percent of Americans believe that president Obama is Jewish, according to a new poll.


A new Associated Press poll finds that 18 percent, or nearly one in five Americans believe that President Barack Obama is Jewish, from zero who believed so in 2010.



The survey, that was conducted from August 30 to September 11, also found that 10 percent of Americans believe the president is Muslim, 35 percent believe that he has no religion and 28 percent refused to answer.
The President has often stated in public that he is a Christian.



There is no religious test for eligibility to hold the office of President of the United States.



The same survey also found that 67 percent of Americans correctly identified Mitt Romney's faith as a Mormon. 26 percent answered that they do not know and in comparison to Obama, only 2 percent refused to answer.



77 percent said religion from either candidate has no effect on whether they would vote for them or not.
