The Tea Party’s RINO Hunting Season Opens With a Bang

Conservative group targets Mitch McConnell

The Madison Project considers McConnell a chicken

You may have missed the news, but Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell now has a carefully-vetted Tea Party-chosen opponent in the 2014 Republican primary, Matt Bevin.

The national conservative group Madison Project has endorsed Matt Bevin in what they have determined to be one of the most important yet winnable races of 2014.

“If there is one individual who represents the GOP establishment, it is Mitch McConnell,” said Daniel Horowitz, Policy Director for the Madison Project PAC. “The battle over Obamacare is shaping up to be the Waterloo for the GOP establishment… [McConnell] is too chicken to even sign onto Mike Lee’s letter pledging to defund Obamacare in any battle over the budget.”

Constitutional Republican voters across the country see McConnell as one of the key enabler s of the “Gang of RINOs” that repeatedly rush out to compromise with Democrats, consistently delivering comprehensive legislative monstrosities like Obamacare, the Gang-of-8 Amnesty Bill, and the deceptively named Farm Bill.

Tea Party members are concerned that McConnell, via his gangs, has actually co-sponsored bills that were supported by the Congressional Progressive Caucus, a group of 80 congressmen with ties to Communist Party USA and the Democratic Socialists of America.

Trevor Loudon in his new bookThe Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists, and Progressives in the U.S. Congress” provides factual evidence that makes it clear that the US Constitution is at risk everyday with each new progressive bill that goes unchallenged by GOP leadership.

Constitutional Republicans see that RINO’s can no longer be tolerated. They believe that it is time to see who actually votes to Defund Obamacare.

For them, it’s time to nationally support Matt Bevin and the next “gang of Ted-Cruz-and-Jim-DeMint-like Tigers” who will aggressively get out in front of issues easily articulating the constitutional principles that apply.

The Madison Project believes it will take tigers, not RINOs and Chickens, to save America. In the Kentucky Senate primary, we’ll see if the voters agree.
