June 25 - U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama buys French fries and fat cakes at a restaurant in a Botswana village. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.



Transcript: U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama and her family made a quick stop at a small restaurant in a village in Botswana Saturday to sample some of the local fare. On the menu: french fires and deep-fried fat cakes. Obama arrived in Botswana early Friday after spending several days in South Africa promoting health, education and youth leadership. Villagers welcomed the American First Lady's visit. SOUNDBITE: Mochudi Resident Sizwe Moeketsi, saying (English): "I am very proud of her visit her, even for the restaurant as well, it will improve, it is a mileage as well because if they can use her trip very well, it can even upgrade their profile, and just passing by Muchudu village is very nice, it will even go into our history books" Michelle Obama will head back to Washington Sunday.
