We just had to have Obamacare, we were told. It was the best way to keep all Americans healthy, they claimed. Without Obamacare, we are not a fit place to live. In fact, if you stand against Obamacre you are a hatemonger that wants everyone to die. Yep, that’s what we were told. So if Obamacre is so great, why has Obama given 1,472 of his best friends’ companies a waiver so that they can be excused from suffering under some aspects of Obamacare like the rest of us?
Obama and his cohorts have told us that the best thing for the country is to eliminate private insurance, make doctors all government employees, and take away our choices in healthcare with a single payer system. Yet, even as he’s is telling us we don’t deserve to be allowed to choose our own type of helathcare services and should be forced under Obamacare, he’s giving his buddies in the unions and other donors a free ticket out of Obamacare.
Back in February I noted that one union in particular, the United Food and Commercial Workers union (UFCW) was really getting a break from their bought and paid for president. By February already 28 UFCW locals had been given waivers.
Shockingly, the UFCW’s PAC had given Obama $673,309 buckaroos for his campaign at that time.
The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) also got a ton of waivers from their pocketed president and is regulatory agency at HHS.
Things got a bit sticky for Obama and his hypocrisy, though, because when the light was shown on the mounting list of waivers, HHS announced they would stop the practice. But they have yet to do so.
In fact, HHS just gave out yet another set of 106 Obamacare waivers and the list is now up to 1,472 companies unions, and other groups to whom Obama has given a pass.
Also, even if the HHS does stop giving waivers — as they claim they will do by fall — these waivers will still be ongoing sops to Obama’s pals for the next three years.
One wonders what the criteria for these waivers is because no one has ever said. But looking at this list reveals groups that have given Obama millions in campaign cash. There is little doubt that being a campaign donor seems to up the chances of getting an Obamacare waiver. Don’t you think?
