A LITTLE BOY AND HIS LEMONADE STAND.

SOMETIMES WE GROWNUPS CAN LEARN A THING OR TWO FROM THE YOUNGER GENERATION.

JOSHUA SMITH — IS PART OF THAT CROWD — BARELY NINE YEARS OLD.

LIVES WITH HIS MOM AND DAD AND TWO BROTHERS IN DETROIT.

JOSHUA WAS ON HIS WAY TO A PIANO LESSON THE OTHER DAY –

WHEN HE HEARD A STORY ON THE RADIO — ABOUT HOW THE CITY IS FACING

A BUDGET DEFICIT OF MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS

SO JOSHUA DECIDED TO LEND MOTOR CITY A HELPING HAND.

HE SET UP A LEMONADE STAND IN HIS FRONT YARD -

AND EVERY SINGLE PENNY HE MAKES — HE’S GIVING TO CITY HALL.

AND WE’RE NOT TALKING ABOUT THE CHEAP STUFF.

HE’S SQUEEZING OUT ORGANIC LEMONADE AND POPCORN

SEASONED WITH SEA SALT.

A LITTLE BOY MAKING A SMALL SACRIFICE FOR A BIG CITY.

PERHAPS A LESSON FOR ALL OF US –

LET’S JUST HOPE THE PEOPLE WHO SPEND THE MONEY IN DETROIT

KNOW WHO’S PAYING THE BILLS.
