PLANTATION, Fla. (WSVN) -- A bank has paid the money that they owed a South Florida woman after her home was foreclosed on.

Francita Marc was having trouble paying her mortgage. She then called Loan Lawyers Loan Group to save her North Lauderdale home.

Bank of America was then ordered to pay Marc more than $10,000, six months ago, but they never paid her.

The loan lawyers then took action. "The bank manager is calling the powers that be," said Marc's attorney, Matthew Bavaro. "They've indicated he's probably not going to be able to give us a check today for the amounts, so the Sheriff basically said the movers are standing right there."

Deputies arrived at the Bank of America and ordered the bank to pay Marc the money that they owed her. They told the bank, if they didn't pay her, all the furniture inside the bank would be removed. "And I fight to get the results, and I think today is that time to get my results not for only me but for everyone else in the same situation," said Marc.

Even police got involved. Broward Sheriff's Office deputies were talking to the bank for about an hour before they came up with the check they owed Marc. "I feel good. That's what I fight for, and I got it," she said.

Bank of America released a statement that read: "Our preliminary investigation reveals that we did not respond to Mrs. Marc's lawsuit, leading to the entry of default judgment. It's not our policy to ignore lawsuits, and we regret that Mrs. Marc's lawsuit went unanswered. The bank issued a check today in full satisfaction of the judgment."

"The borrowers have rights, and they need to know that they have the right to stand up to the bank as well," said Bavaro.
