Gun control supporter threatens to kill Colorado recall activists

11.19.13

A supporter of Colorado State Senator, and gun control champion, Evie Hudak was captured on videothreatening to “go home and get a gun and come back and kill” recall activists as they tried to gather signatures for a new recall effort against Ms. Hudak.
A video posted yesterday by the recall activists claims that this happened in front of the public library in Arvada, Colorado. The Youtube account that posted the video appears to be connected to an organization named Recall Hudak Too.
The Recall Hudak Too organizers are hoping to follow up successful recalls of two other anti-gun Colorado State Senators earlier this year. Both State Senate President John Morse and State Senator Angela Giron were thrown out of office by voters over their support for controversial gun control measures. Hudak supported the same measures.
Ms. Hudak is best known for her dressing down of rape survivor and gun rights activist Amanda Collins during her testimony against banning concealed carry permit holders from carrying on college campuses. Ms. Hudak told Ms. Collins, who was raped after being denied the ability to carry her gun on campus, that “actually, statistics are not on your side” and “chances are that if you had had a gun that he would’ve been able to get that from you and possibly use it against you.” Ms. Collins strongly disagreed with the State Senator’s claim.
