The five Weslaco city commissioners who have been indicted have turned themselves in to the Hidalgo County Jail.
The five commissioners were booked at the Hidalgo County Jail and have already been released on bond.
The five Weslaco city commissioners who are facing criminal charges are the following:
• Lupe Rivera
• John Cuellar
• David Fox
• Joe Martinez
• Jerry Tafolla
• John Cuellar
• David Fox
• Joe Martinez
• Jerry Tafolla
The five city commissioners are set to appear before a judge tomorrow where they will be arraigned.
They received a personal recognizance bond of $25,000 each.
Neither Mayor David Suarez nor City Commissioner Fidel Peña are facing criminal charges.
The five are expected to be arraigned before Judge Bobby Flores with the 139th State District Court on Thursday, March 6th.
