A man remains behind bars after he allegedly admitted he may be the father of a 15-year-old girl’s twins.
Lester Oswaldo Monge is accused of having sex with the underage girl back in March 2014.
Hidalgo County Sheriff Deputies responded to the 11900 block of Palmeras Street in Mission Sept.19th.
The 15-year-old girl told a Child Protective Services Investigator that she had become pregnant after having consensual sex with the suspect.
Investigators said the mother of the victim found out about the relationship after they told her 27-year-old Monge could be the father.
Monge allegedly admitted to authorities he sexually abused the girl.
The victim was seven months pregnant at the time the rape was reported.
He was arrested on a sexual assault of a child charge.
A judge set his bond at $200,000 and Monge was issued a U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer.
Monge remains behind bars at the Hidalgo County Jail.
