Youth OUTright offers scholarships for Creating Change conference
Youth OUTright, WNC, Inc., is offering two scholarships for the 2015 Creating Change conference, which will be held in Denver, Colorado, from February 4-8, 2015. Creating Change is the premier annual organizing and skills-building event for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and their allies. The conference is run by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, and attracts more than 3,500 people from all over the country every year. • Youth Outright staff accompanies scholarship recipients.
• Scholarship applicants must submit their application electronically, via mail, or in-person at Youth Outright meetings by November 14, 2014 to be eligible.
• Our selection committee will select candidates and schedule interviews with finalists during the week of December 1 – 5.
• Scholarship recipients will be announced by December 10.
• Scholarship recipients will travel together from Asheville to Denver on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 and return to Asheville on Sunday, February 8, 2015.*Scholarship recipients are responsible for informing their teachers and/or employers at the time of selection that they will be out of town from Wednesday, February 4 – Sunday, February 8.For additional information or to submit your application,
