Stop Saying The Tea Party Won

I’ve been seeing and hearing too many Tea Party members claiming that the debt deal is a win for the Tea Party.

Be careful, the MSM is where this claim began and they are using it because they foresee a need to place blame in the not too distant future.

The claim that the Tea Party won the debt debate is a talking point from the progressives.

If you are claiming victory now, then you are also taking ownership of the future blame.

We in the Tea Party can rightfully claim that we drove the conversation, however no victory was had and we’ve nothing to celebrate.

This deal brings us more borrowing, more spending and a Super Congress!

This is NOT a victory and no one involved with the Liberty movement should be claiming it is.

Is it the best deal we could have gotten?
More likely it is the best deal the Republican leadership was willing to fight for.

Anything beyond this deal would have required a testicular fortitude that the leadership apparently does not possess.

">There are no spending cuts in this plan. The enormous increase in the national debt represents an enormous tax increase.
