Presenting the First Annual Political "Turdy" Award (Video)

The First Annual Bipartisan TPC "Turdy" Award for Politics is juvenile, somewhat tasteless and yet incredibly appropriate!

And, given the nature of politics and politicians, it certainly won't be the last!

The idea for the "Turdy" Awards came to me after watching an old episode of South Park (video clip below) in which there was a global competition for the world's largest excrement.

What better way I thought to "honor" the typical politician in America today. Those from both major political parties who tend to be gutless, spineless and for the most part full of crap!

While this may not be the most sophisticated award, and it might be one that some (or many) find to be slightly (or very) juvenile, given the current political climate in Washington and elsewhere around the country it might also be the most relevant and apropos!

Nominate your "favorite" politician in the comments section below and, if you are so inclined, explain why they are so deserving of the award!

The Award Criteria

Heading into the 2012 election cycle it's time for the voting public to cast their ballot, in full bipartisan fashion, for the U.S. politician who they feel exemplifies the very worst that American politics has to offer.

In other words is your nominee, does your nominee or has your nominee:
Been born and bred for politics having had few if any non-political jobs,
Begun campaigning for reelection the second the prior elections votes have been counted,
Possess a tendency to put special interests ahead of the "folks" back home on Main Street,
Motivated by power and influence, and would sell their souls (or anyone elses for that matter) for a single vote,
Make the welfare of their constituents absolutely the last consideration they have when making a decision or when casting a vote,
Live their political life with one finger in the air gauging which way the political winds are blowing, and then prostitute their values and principles to bend with the political polls,
Ever been accused or actually found guilty of some political, moral, social or criminal indiscretion.
Nominate your "favorite" politician in the comments section below and, if you are so inclined, explain why they are so deserving of the award!
