Well, he is a Reverend of some sort, right? According to Wikipedia, Sharpton was licensed and ordained a Pentecostal minister at the age of nine or ten, sooo….yeah…
I don’t know why Tammy is making such a big deal about it:
Disgusting. Oh, and someone actually wore a hoodie. The exploitation of pain in this country by supposed “civil rights leaders” is beyond comprehension.
Hoodie in the White House
President Obama hosted a pre-Easter prayer breakfast at the White House this morning with members of his administration and clergymen. Prominent breakfast attendees included Rev. Al Sharpton, Cardinal Donald Wuerl, and Rev. Julius Scruggs. White House aides told the press pooler at the breakfast that “heads of major denominations, non-profit leaders and prominent mainline, Evangelical, Orthodox and Catholic leaders from across the spectrum” were all in attendance this morning.
But not all the clergymen came to pray. Some came to deliver a political message.
As the press pooler notes:
One pastor wore a hoodie, the symbol of Trayvon Martin, the young black man shot to death by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman.
JWF thought this was a bit much:
Seriously, though, is this guy’s ego so out of control he’s comparing himself with Jesus?
President Barack Obama says the Easter story of Christ’s agony and resurrection has helped him get through the tough moments of an embattled presidency.
The president got “Amens” from religious leaders at a White House prayer breakfast in the East Room as he recounted Jesus saying, “In this world, you will have trouble.”
Would you expect anything less from the Obamessiah?
Keith Koffler of WHD says, Obama Continues to Step Up his Public Piety:
Obama’s public profession of his religious beliefs is sure to play well with most Americans, but especially with his base of African Americans, whom he needs to turn out for him in November.
While the president only mentioned Jesus by name twice in each of his last two Easter Prayer Breakfasts, this year he invoked the name of Jesus six times.

Obama recently found himself at odds with the Catholic church with his demand that Catholic institutions cover birth control.
Oh yes, good point. ‘Nuff said.
Meanwhile, Gateway Pundit brings us this: It Begins… Youths Screaming “This Is For Trayvon” Beat 78 Year-Old White Man in Toledo.
I’m sure Sharpton and Obama will be releasing statements condemning the Trayvon-inspired black on white violence in short order.
UPDATE:
Washington Free Beacon: Obama’s Willie Horton: Illegal immigrant whose deportation was blocked by the Obama administration alleged to have murdered 15-year-old girl:
President Obama commented on the controversial killing of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin in a widely noticed Mar. 23 press availability.
The president has yet to comment, however, on another shooting victim whose death is connected to an administration immigration policy and may pose problems for his reelection campaign.
On Jan. 2, 2011, Kesler Dufrene is alleged by local police to have shot and killed 15-year-old Ashley Chow in Miami.
