A registered sex offender from Kentucky has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after he exposed himself to twin girls at the San Benito Public Library.
This isn’t the first conviction for Gregorio Gonzalez Jr., who served time in Tennessee for sexual assault and public indecency.
The 61-year-old was caught at San Benito’s library where he exposed himself to two seven-year-old girls back in February 2013.
According to investigators, their mother was sitting at a table reading to her daughters when they got up to get another book.
The girls came back running to their mother claiming Gonzalez exposed himself.
The library aide, along with another man helped catch the 61-year-old.
Gonzalez served time in a Tennessee prison for sexual assault and also has numerous convictions for public indecency.
The 61-year-old will spend the next 20 years behind bars.
“Considering this defendant’s extensive criminal history with these types of crimes, the conviction and lengthy sentence are justly deserved,” District Attorney Luis V. Saenz told Action 4 News.
