A Pharr man remains behind bars after he allegedly raped a woman and called 911 to say he "messed up" and that he was "ready to go to jail."
Pharr police charged 37-year-old Leonel Zamora on a sexual assault charge last weekend.
Court records released to Action 4 News on Monday reveal that Zamora is accused of raping a woman back on September 13th.
The records show that Zamora is accused of pushing a woman into a bathroom of her home and raping her.
According to the records, Zamora called 911 and told the operated that he "messed up" and was "ready to go to jail."
Officers who responded to the call reported that they found Zamora kneeling down with his hands up in the air.
Action 4 News does not identify victims of sexual abuse but the records confirm that the woman knew Zamora.
The Pharr man remains in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail under a $150,000 dollar bond.
