Gotnews.com has exclusively discovered David Axelrod’s father’s Communist Party membership.
David Axelrod’s book, “Believer: My Forty Years in Politics,” details his very close relationship with his father, Joseph.
He repeatedly told Charlie Rose that his father believed in the American dream.
Kind of weird watching David Axelrod talk about his communist father's faith in the American dream on Charlie Rose. http://t.co/ANe5X0Hyex— Charles C. Johnson (@ChuckCJohnson) February 19, 2015
In fact, Axelrod’s father, Joseph, was a card-carrying communist. He’s listed as a member of the Communist Party for the 1936 general election.
Axelrod briefly mentions his father’s Communist views in his book but only in passing and in a section about how he got to visit the former Soviet Union.
Why didn't David Axelrod disclose that his father was a member of the Communist Party? #ObamaLovesAmerica— Charles C. Johnson (@ChuckCJohnson) February 20, 2015
Axelrod was very close to his father. Axelrod writes, “For all our years together, my father was always the one who provided a listening ear and loving support.”
Axelrod’s father killed himself in 1974 when Axelrod was but 19.
“I was completely on my own,” he writes. But not quite. His father still left him with his radically left-wing views.
