Naples Tea Party
As we get closer to the election in 2012, progressives are facing a huge dilemma. President Obama's popularity seems to be spiraling out of control, and he is left with nothing to promote his socialist/progressive agenda.
The latest Gallup Poll has Obama at a dismal 42% approval rating. Any generic Republican would beat Obama if the presidential election were held today.....including Sarah Palin.
It has become a frightening exercise of futility for progressives.........as their only response is to continually place blame on others......something Obama has been doing for several years. For awhile, it was the Tea Party. Now it is Rush and Rupert.....along with endless arguing for the sake of arguing and excuses.
How boring progressivism has become!
For several years now, “Blame the Tea Party First” has been the Democrats’ favorite mantra. Obots invoke the Tea Party to make sense for themselves of the otherwise inexplicable fact of large-scale public opposition to President Obama.
To make things easy for themselves, progressives have broadened their base to include Rush and Rupert. They hold them responsible for many of the nation’s deeper problems, from incivility in our discourse to an inability to set aside intransigent partisanship.
In fact........it is progressives who have carried their animus against their enemies to unprecedented heights by failing to credit it with what is today right before everyone’s eyes. Generosity in describing one’s foes is a rarity, especially among liberal conspiracy theorists. A case in point.......without Rush, Rupert and the Tea Party, there would be no debt limit negotiations going on, just as there would have been no budget reduction deal last December.
Without Rush, Rupert and the Tea Party, President Obama would not be posing as the judicious statesman, but would be pushing.....as in truth he still is.....for more government debt and even greater controls and regulations over free enterprise and individual freedom.
Whatever pressure now exists to treat the debt problem derives directly or indirectly from the explosion of energy that has been generated by people like Rush, Rupert and the Tea Party.
Rejoice America. They have been the last line of defense against tyranny and government oppression.
After almost three depressing years under Obama, conservatives now have a reason to be hopeful. It is no longer the economy that will be the pressing issue in the next election. In fact, it is not necessary to blame anyone or anything. We are used to Obama and understand his limitations, both as a leader and his inability to instill confidence in restoring American exceptionalism.
The question will not be, "are you better off than you were four years ago." Indeed, the question will be, "what will Obama do with another four years?" Is there any magic potion that he can promise during the current campaign that we have not already been exposed to? Didn't he promise basically the same things in the 2008 election? What makes us think it will not be the same old.....same old? What can we expect him to do differently?
The bottom line........In fact, does Obama have the ability to make things better if given another four years? That is the relevant question everyone should be asking themselves before voting in the 2012 election.
There is a great e-mail going around. If you voted for Obama the first time around because you didn't want to be called a racist.......what will be your excuse for voting for him the second time around?
Ignorance?
