As reported earlier#Occupy women of the 99% made illegal robocalls in Illinois (and across the US) attacking Rush Limbaugh over his recent comments on 30 year-old women’s rights activist Sandra Fluke who wants taxpayers to foot the bill for her contraceptives.

The organization “Occupy Women of the 99%” is not a registered PAC or lobbying group.

The Daily Mail posted the robocall:

The Illinois Review has more on the story.

The Daily Mail article reported that the calls were going out to Rep. Jim Renacci’s district. There were similar calls made in Rep Roscoe Bartlett‘s Maryland-6, Rep Dan Benishek‘s Michigan-1, Rep Judy Biggert‘s Illinois-13, Rep Tim Johnson‘s Illinois-15, Rep Bobby Schilling‘s Illinois-17 and Rep Scott Rigell’s Virginia-2. And from a previous comment, Rep. Dold’s Illinois 10′s district… All of these representatives, with the exception of Rep. Rigell, just happen to be on the Democrat’s Red-to Blue list on the DCCC website.

The robocalls apparently went out to all of the Red to Blue districts. And, the whole campaign was likely linked to the DCCC.

I just received this from a trusted source:

So far I have confirmation of robocalls to:

Coffman (CO)
Heck (NV)
Denham (CA)
Lungren (CA)
Biggert (IL)
Schilling (IL)
Dold (IL)
Benishek (MI)
Renacci (OH)
Walsh (IL)
Ribble (WI)

All are Red to Blue (either with a specific Red to Blue Candidate or ID’d as a Red to Blue District) with the exception of Renacci, who is in a Member v. Member race with Betty Sutton.

There are 12 additional Red to Blue races (either a specific candidate or a Red to Blue district) that involve a Republican incumbent:

CO-03 (Tipton)
FL-10 (Webster)
FL-16 (Buchanan)
IA-04 (King)
NH-02 (Bass)
NY-TBD (Buerkle)
OH-06 (Bill Johnson)
PA-08 (Fitzpatrick)
CA-52 (Bilbray)
MD-06 (Bartlett)
MN-08 (Cravaack)

And Tom Latham is in a Member v. Member race with Leonard Boswell in Iowa similar to Renacci’s in Ohio.
Trying to get confirmation one way or the other on these additional races.

Coincidence? Don’t think so.

This picture was taken of one of the robocalls in Illinois.
Just so you know – It is also illegal to make robocalls from an anonymous number.

UPDATE: Here is a screen grab of a robocall listing in Illinois.
A typical robocall will reach 1,339,000 homes costing a company nearly $28,000.

And here’s a representative Illinois robocall map.
The “Women of the 99%” organization is not a registered PAC or lobbying group yet spent nearly $28,000 in Illinois and tens of thousands more in several other states. Weird, huh?

More to come.
