Singer Glen Campbell, who has been battling Alzheimer's disease for the past several years, has been moved into a healthcare facility.
In an article posted on People magazine's website, a family friend is quoted as saying, "He was moved to an Alzhemier's facility last week. I'm not sure what the permanent plan is for him yet. We'll know more next week."
The singer revealed in a 2011 interview that he was suffering from the condition, but has toured several times since the announcement.
Campbell, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, spent several years in Albuquerque playing in his uncle's band and performing on KOB-TV prior to moving to Los Angeles to become a session musician.
