“Everytown” 74 School Shootings Hoax

If there is one thing that the liberal media and the government does well, it is to conspire to bring Americans as much false and propagandized news possible.  That is why you know there is trouble when CNN actually call out the government for lying.

Everytown For Gun Safety, a Bloomerg backed anti-gun group, has published a propaganda piece on their website everytown.org.  This article claims that there has been “74 school shootings” since the December Sandy Hook shooting.  CNN has taken interest in this and has investigated the supposed school shootings.

According to CNN…

Everytown says on its web site that it gleans its information from media reports and that its list includes school shootings involving a firearm discharged inside or on school grounds, including assaults, homicides, suicides and accidental shootings.  

CNN determined that 15 of the incidents Everytown included were situations similar to the violence in Oregon — a minor or adult actively shooting inside or near a school. That works out to about one shooting every five weeks.

Some of the other incidents on Everytown’s list included personal arguments, accidents and alleged gang activities and drug deals.

Of those 15 instances only one would be classified as a mass shooting and some of the instances listed by Everytown, school wasn’t even in session.

Everytown is not the only propagandists that are regurgitating those false numbers.  Recently, the semi-popular television show “The View” touched on this.

As you can see, without questioning the statistics, Whoopi Goldberg has no problem attempting to further the ant-gun agenda by regurgitating the make believe statistic.

Co-host Sherri Shepherd couldn’t just sit there and waste this opportunity to spread more lies.  Shepherd states “In five seconds, a semi-automatic can spray this entire audience.”  This, of course being a fabrication of her twisted imagination.  In fact, a semi-automatic AR15 is only capable of firing 120 rounds per minute.  This of course only being possible if the magazine held 120 rounds.  Therefore, with magazine changes, the actual rate of fire that is physically possible to accomplish is much much lower.  Not the “spray the entire audience in 5 seconds” that Shepherd would have you believe.

Shepherd also states that you can more damage with a gun than you can running over people or with a knife.  According to the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, there are 434,259 knife injuries in the U.S. every year and according to the F.B.I., 1,694 deaths by knife in 2012.  According to the CDC, there are 33,000 vehicle deaths per year and 2.3 million injuries.  The gun numbers that Shephard claims is so much higher?  According to the F.B.I., in 2012, there was 323 deaths where any, not just semi-automatic, rifles were involved.

The propaganda doesn’t stop at Michael Bloomeberg, Everytown or the mainstream propaganda shows like The View, it goes all the way to the top.

In a Q&A session on Tumblr, Barack Obama also regurgitated this anti-gun propaganda.  Obama falsely states that “it happens now once a week. And it’s a one-day story. There’s no place else like this.”  Obama is correct on one point, there is no place else like this, including the U.S.  In the interview, Obama also took that opportunity to claim there has been 74 school shootings since Sandy Hook.

According to all factual data, there has not been a rise in mass or school shootings and gun crime has plummeted nearly 60% in the last 30 years.
