An Edinburg man is behind bars after he allegedly betrayed a woman's trust and raped her teenage daughter.
Edinburg police booked Jesus Garza, Jr. into the Hidalgo County Jail on Thursday.
The 38-year-old man is facing an aggravated sexual assault of a child charge.
Action 4 News does not identify victims of sexual abuse but investigators reported that Garza knew the girl's mother.
The woman's 13-year-old daughter made an outcry back in July prompting a criminal investigation.
Police said the investigation ended with detectives securing an arrest warrant for Garza.
Garza remains in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail under a $250,000 dollar bond.
Court records show that Garza has a previous criminal history that includes DWI, drugs, theft, evading arrest and resisting arrest.
