Good News: Kroger Doesn't Bow To Anti-Gun Pressure

8/20/2014

Won't prohibit guns in its grocery stores

Gun control group Moms Demand Action wants grocery store chain Kroger to follow in the footsteps of other stores, like Target and Chipotle, and ban guns from their premises. Luckily for lovers of freedom everywhere, Kroger is not bowing to the pressure.
Despite Moms Demand Action researching 12 shootings that have happened at or near Kroger stores in the last two years, company spokesman Keith Dailey told Huffington Post that there is no intention of changing any corporate policies with regard to guns. He said:
Millions of customers are present in our busy grocery stores every day and we don't want to put our associates in a position of having to confront a customer who is legally carrying a gun. We know that our customers are passionate on both sides of this issue and we trust them to be responsible in our stores.
Moms Demand Action approached Kroger after open carry activists posted pictures online of themselves shopping at Kroger with their guns in Ohio and Texas.
