Smuggler arrested, immigrants found in fake wall of tractor

A driver is behind bars after he was caught smuggling 10 immigrants in a fake wall of a tractor.
It happened Sunday around 1:40 p.m. at the Falfurrias Checkpoint.
Border Patrol said agents were questioning the driver of a black 2005 International Tractor that was pulling a Transcrast flatbed.
A canine then alerted agents about something inside the tractor, and told the driver to go to a secondary inspection.
During a search, agents found 10 undocumented immigrants hidden behind a false wall in the cab.
Border Patrol said there were the following immigrants in the trailer:
- Four Guatemalan immigrants
- Four Mexican immigrants
- Two El Salvadoran immigrants
Border Patrol said all of the immigrants will be processed to be taken back to their home country.
The Rio Grande Valley Sector Prosecutions Office is now investigating the case.
