HARRISBURG, Pa. —The state Supreme Court is stopping the case against state Attorney General Kathleen Kane.
The court has issued a stay in the grand jury investigation of Kane. This comes after yesterdays grand jury recommendation that Kane get criminal charges for leaking a secret case.
Now this keeps those charges from being filed against Kane.
The court will now hear the argument by Kane that the case against her is political and full of holes.
Lawyer Lanny Davis say the special prosecutor leading the case is bent on derailing Kane's reputation.
Yesterday, Kane said the recommended charges did not support her illegally leaking details of a 2009 case.
The court could hear the case as soon as March 9th.
