Blacks are murdered with impunity in US, Malcolm X’s grandson says

Malcolm X’s grandson, El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, says that Blacks are murdered with impunity in the United States because the system is unjust, Press TV reports.

In an exclusive interview with Press TV on Monday, Shabazz commented on the murder of Black teenager Trayvon Martin, saying, “There are hundreds of Black Americans who are being murdered in the United States every year with impunity. And police officers serve no time. They always get off.”

DNC Chief Called on to Release Tax Returns

Democratic National Committee chief Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been called on to release her personal income tax returns. The request was made by her congressional opponent, Republican Karen Harrington of Florida.

“This week millions of taxpaying Americans will fulfill their requirement of filing their tax returns by paying any and all taxes due to the federal government,” Harrington’s campaign writes. “Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been asking Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney to release his 2011 tax return even after Governor Romney released his 2010 tax return.”

“Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz’s request of Governor Romney to release his tax returns screams of hypocrisy, because to the best of our knowledge, Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz has never released a single tax return of her own. As a member of Congress, she is required to release a yearly ‘financial disclosure,’ this yearly disclosure is not a tax return. MORE @ TheWeeklyStandard.Com

NaturalNews exclusive: Michigan government unleashes armed raids on small pig farmers, forces farmer to shoot all his own pigs

NaturalNews can now confirm that the Michigan Department of Natural Resources has, in total violation of the Fourth Amendment, conducted two armed raids on pig farmers in that state, one in Kalkaska County at Fife Lake and another in Cheboygan County. Staging raids involving six vehicles and ten armed men, DNA conducted unconstitutional, illegal and arguably criminal armed raids on these two farms with the intent of shooting all the farmers' pigs under a bizarre new "Invasive Species Order" (ISO) that has suddenly declared traditional livestock to be an invasive species.

Obama Labor Secretary Hilda Solis declares that government services are the American Dream (Video)

Remember when the American Dream used to be working hard, buying a big house, a nice car, and providing for your children? Well times have changed in this country thanks to the Marxist Democrats. The American Dream as of 2012 is government services according to Obama’s Labor Secretary Hilda Solis. Yes, the American Dream is something like welfare, according to Hilda Solis. Her comments and revelation aren’t overly surprising some all Democrats have this warped philosophy. Liberalism is indeed a mental disorder.

Official Palestinian Authority daily: Parents should teach children that it's their destiny to destroy Israel

Teaching children to hate and kill

"Palestinian" "moderates" Instilling genocidal dreams from early youth: "PA cartoons: Teach children to seek world without Israel," by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik for Palestinian Media Watch, April 15:
Palestinian parents should teach their children that it is their role or destiny to destroy Israel, according to a cartoon in the official PA daily.

Text in book: "Palestine"
Mother's words: "This is your bride...
When you grow up you will know the dowry."
In the cartoon, a mother is showing her son a book with a map that includes all of Israel and the PA areas. The text in the book defines the map as "Palestine."

The mother tells her son:
"This is your bride... when you grow up you will know the dowry."
[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida,
March 31, 2012]

The message of the PA daily is that parents either are educating their children or should be educating their children to see their obligation to replace all of Israel with a state of "Palestine." The dowry - the cost of liberating Palestine - is yet to be learned.

Last week, Palestinian Media Watch reported that the Minister of Social Affairs, Majida Al-Masri, said in a speech that Palestinian unity is needed in order achieve "the liberation of Palestine - all of Palestine," meaning Israel's destruction....

The NY Times Essentially Accuses the White House of Taking Bribes, at Least of Selling Access

In my view this is huge news. The New York Times, in a front-page story on its web site, documents the strong correlation between (i) large gifts to the Obama campaign or Democratic Party and (ii) access to the White House. The author strongly suggests that the correlation between (i) and (ii) is also causal - that campaign donations are buying access to the White House, maybe even influencing public policies.

I'm usually skeptical when people try to claim such causal relationships from campaign donations. A more innocent explanation is often possible. That is, for instance, the donors likely have the same political views as the politicians to whom they are giving. The correlation could be the result of such like-mindedness, not necessarily a quid pro quo.

But this article gives further evidence - evidence that there really are some quid pro quos going on. Such evidence includes: ARTICLE CONTINUES>>>

Kid's lemonade stand raises $10K for sick dad

LIBERTY CITY, TX -- What appeared to be the classic child's lemonade stand has given a big lift to an East Texas father's cancer treatment.

Six-year-old Drew Cox was charging 25 cents per glass of lemonade at the stand he set up Saturday in front of his house in Liberty City. KLTV-TV of Tyler reports his father, Randy Cox, has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and Drew came up with the idea to help his dad feel better.

"He is so important to me. We like to play with each other; Lots of times we like to play games," Drew told KLTV-TV.

Drew's lemonade stand has also made a mark on his community.

A block party swelled around the stand, with cars and people lined up around the block for lemonade.

Drew's family says people came from as far as 70 miles away for a glass of lemonade, generating more than $10,000 to help with Randy Cox's medical bills.

Taxed in the USA: Cost of Government Rising Across the Country

It’s that time of the year again. Tax time. What better time to be reminded that taxes are still going up in America? Sad to say, there is a trend of state and local tax hikes, from Rhode Island to California, from Kentucky to Washington state. The trend is so strong, in fact, that we might almost call it a silent epidemic.

Let’s take a tour around the country and see for ourselves. We begin in California where the Sacramento Bee recently relayed the following lament about tax evasion:

Nervous Kremlin seeks to purge Russia's internet of "western' influences"

Unlike Vladimir Putin, many Russians have taken to the internet with great enthusiasm. Now liberals and gay rights activists are among those feeling the heat from the Kremlin

Unlike other media, the internet in Russia, has developed largely untouched by the arm of the state. The protests have prompted many to wonder: is that about to change?

"It's too late to change things," said Anton Nossik, an internet guru. "Kids are now born into the internet and grew up in the internet. Like it or not, you have to embrace it."

That is the view of most internet observers in Russia: that it's too late, and too technologically complicated, to institute a China-style firewall. Yet the government is infamous for its attention to propaganda, and for the power of its suspicious spy services, and there are signs that it is seeking to boost its ability to control the internet. <<<< MORE @ THE GAURDIAN >>>>

Web freedom faces greatest threat ever, warns Google's Sergey Brin

Exclusive: Threats range from governments trying to control citizens to the rise of Facebook and Apple-style 'walled gardens'

The principles of openness and universal access that underpinned the creation of the internet three decades ago are under greater threat than ever, according to Google co-founder Sergey Brin.

The threat to the freedom of the internet comes, he claims, from a combination of governments increasingly trying to control access and communication by their citizens, the entertainment industry's attempts to crack down on piracy, and the rise of "restrictive" walled gardens such as Facebook and Apple, which tightly control what software can be released on their platforms.

Is a Wrongful Death Being Swept Under the Carpet?

Porn actor dead after clash with LAPD officers

The porn star known as Sledge Hammer died early Friday, five days after he became violent with paramedics and was stunned with a Taser and restrained by Los Angeles police officers, authorities said.

The incident began Sunday when authorities responded to a call of an attempted suicide in the Reseda area. When paramedics and officers arrived they found Marland Anderson, known as Sledge Hammer on screen, with his girlfriend. Anderson had suffered a knife injury, said Lt. Andrew Neiman.

The girlfriend told officers Anderson tried to hurt himself with the knife and she pried it away from him, Neiman said.

He was then handcuffed to a gurney by police for transportation in an ambulance. Once inside the ambulance, Neiman said, Anderson tried to stand up, but acted with such force that he broke the gurney free from a floor lock and broke the handcuff.

To restrain Anderson, an officer then used a Taser but it failed to stop the agitated actor, Neiman said. Several officers eventually managed to restrain Anderson, Neiman said. He was taken to a hospital, where he died Friday morning, Neiman said.

California state mental hospitals plagued by peril

A costly federal effort to reduce heavy drugging and improper restraining fails to improve care and help patients control violent impulses. Instead, assaults by patients mount and confinements grow longer.

Garth Webb, with his parents during a recent visit, was tormented by a patient in the room next door who later strangled a psychiatric technician. (Robert Gauthier / Los Angeles Times)

When Garth Webb was sent to Napa State Hospital, his parents were relieved.

The bellboy and amateur composer from Sebastopol had been in the throes of bipolar disorder when he was charged with threatening the lives of co-workers. His family encouraged him to plead not guilty by reason of insanity, thinking that in a mental hospital he would get the treatment he needed.

Instead, Webb and his parents say, he was repeatedly brutalized. His main tormentor, a patient in the room next door, assaulted him several times, wrapping him in a headlock and sexually abusing him.

From Slavery to Freedom

As another Passover comes to an end and the cycle of the year continues its brief spin, the echoes of "Once we were slaves and now we are free" and "Next year in Jerusalem" fade into the background noise of everyday life. We can board a plane tomorrow and fly off to Jerusalem, some of us are already there now, but will that make us free?

Since Egypt we have become slaves again, lived under the rule of iron-fisted tyrants and forgotten what the very idea of freedom means. And that will likely happen again and again until the age ends. What is this freedom that we gained with the fall of a Pharaoh and the last sight of his pyramids and armies?

Freedom like slavery, is as much a state of mind as a state of being. It is possible to be legally free, yet to have no freedom of action whatsoever. And it is possible to be legally a slave and yet to be free in defiance of those restrictions. External coercion alone does not make a man free or slave, it is the degradation of mind that makes a man a slave. (Article Continues Here>>>)

How the Media Whitewashes Muslim Persecution of Christians

When it comes to Muslim persecution of Christians, the mainstream media (MSM) has a long paper trail of obfuscating. While they may eventually state the bare-bone facts—if they ever report on the story in the first place, which is rare—they do so after creating and sustaining an aura of moral relativism that minimizes the Muslim role.

While the MSM may report the most frugal facts concerning Christian persecution, they utilize their entire arsenal of semantic games, catch phrases, and convenient omissions that uphold the traditional narrative—that Muslim violence is anything but a byproduct of the Islamic indoctrination of intolerance.

Letter: Ginned-up case against Zimmerman fits nicely into media mentality

I do not condone the willful killing of anyone except under dire threat. That said, the (mostly liberal) media have done their collective utmost to convict George Zimmerman, guilty or not.

Oops. NBC News apologizes for an "unnamed employee" who edited the 911 call, further criminalizing Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Oops, again. ABC News admits "manipulating" the police arrest video, to blur injuries consistent with Zimmerman's story of being beaten by Martin.

Another oops. CNN retracts the charge that Zimmerman used a racial slur after reporter Gary Tuchman revisits the audio in a "different studio."

In my opinion, old childhood photos of Trayvon were used to gin up emotions, while all things negative were purposely buried. Could it be that the national press was eager to clasp hands with those racial opportunists, the Revs. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, as well as dangerous gadflies Spike Lee, Roseanne Barr and The "New" Black Panther Party?

Objective reportage has gone down the rabbit hole, just as it did when the "rush-to-judgment" crowd put a full-court press on the Duke lacrosse team.

Once again, the template was ready made for pandering politicians, race-baiters and a callow media armed with plenty of matches and cans of gasoline.
