A father is behind bars after doctors learned his two-year-old son has a fractured skull and swelling in his brain.
The incident happened Monday on the 300 block of Gastel Circle.
Edinburg police arrested Joshua Franco after his son was taken to a local hospital non-responsive.
Doctors said the toddler is in critical but stable condition.
Details were not immediately released to how the toddler received the injuries.
Franco was charged with injury to a child
The 29-year-old was arraigned Christmas morning and a bond of $500,000 was set.
