A 47-year-old man is behind bars after he allegedly drank, drove and got into a series of hit-and-run auto accidents on Christmas Day.
Pharr police arrested Armando Fuentes on multiple criminal charges just after 5 p.m. Wedneday.
Investigators reported that police officers were called to East Polk Avenue and South Veterans Road for a hit-and-run accident.
A driver reported that a red Jeep rear-ended his SUV and fled the scene.
Just a few minutes later, officers got another call from an injured woman who said a red Jeep hit her car and took off.
Paramedics rushed the injured woman to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
But investigators said the same red Jeep hit a third car off Veterans and Minnesota Roads where a woman ended up with a broken arm.
Pharr police found Fuentes driving the jeep nearby and arrested him on intoxication assault, accident involving injury and accident involving damage charges.
Fuentes remains in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail under $84,500 in bonds.
