Lancaster County factory closes
American LaFrance shuts down Ephrata location
Jobs are in jeopardy as an Ephrata factory closes its doors.
Firetruck and rescue vehicle manufacturer American LaFrance closed its warehouse on Friday with no plans to reopen.
This leaves at least 150 jobs on the chopping block.
The company did release a statement about the closure, although it wasn't specific.
It attributes the closing to its "unexpected current financial condition." Two other sites in South Carolina and California are also closing.
The company says it will contact affected customers.
