Another man is behind bars connected to an alleged attempted murder involving drugs.

Victor Hugo Pena was arrested by the San Juan Police Department, along with the U.S. Marshal's, Department of Public Safety (DPS), and Hidalgo Police Department.
He was arrested at his home in Hidalgo after surveillance determined Pena was indeed inside the home.
According to a San Juan Police Department press release, Pena was immediately taken into custody.
Pena is connected to an alleged gang-related shooting involving a drug deal gone wrong.
Pena was wanted on charges of criminal attempted capital murder, aggravated kidnapping and tampering or fabricating evidence.
The attempted murder took place back in January on Cesar Chavez road in San Juan, which left a man hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The shooting happened on Sam Houston Boulevard and Cesar Chavez Road.
During the investigation, authorities were able to recover two weapons along with other evidence to support the arrest warrant for Pena.
He appeared before Judge Eloy Hernandez where he was issued $700,000 in bonds for the three charges.
He has been transported to the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Department.
The San Juan Police Department urges the public to call 956-283-8477 if you have any information about the case.
Earlier this month, Armando Jesus Ortiz was also arrested in connection to the same attempted murder.
