A man was arrested after a mother caught him looking at her daughter as he was arousing himself, according to police.
McAllen police responded to the Valley AIDS Council on 601 North McColl Road after a call came in about an elderly man exposing himself in the parking lot, according to a police offense report.
The report says Ramon Rodriguez is accused of masturbating “as he looked” at the mother and her daughter.
Police were called to the scene, and the woman gave them a description of the man she saw exposing himself.
When McAllen police arrived on scene, they found Rodriguez with his pant zipper down.
He claimed “he did not know she was watching” and “did not want to disrespect anyone,” according to the offense report.
Police also believe Rodriguez was intoxicated at the time, and he was using a shopping cart to keep his balance.
McAllen police arrested the 60-year-old man on public intoxication and indecent exposure charges on May 8, 2014.
He was transported to the Hidalgo County Jail, and his bond was set at $2,000.
Indecent exposure is a Class B misdemeanor, and public intoxication is a Class B misdemeanor.
