A McAllen couple is out on bond after getting arrested after their 2-year-old foster daughter was found wandering the streets.
McAllen police arrested Jorge and Carolyn Raygoza on child endangerment charges early Saturday morning.
Court documents released to Action 4 News on Thursday show that the incident started off Business 83 and North 12 Street around 5 a.m. Saturday.
A witness told police that he was on his porch drinking a beer when he saw the toddler wanted the streets.
The man approached the little girl and waved down a woman who called police.
Officers searched the area and discovered the girl had wandered from an apartment complex three blocks away off North 12 Street and Datepalm Avenue.
Court documents revealed that the girl was given to Jorge and Carolyn Raygoza by Lutheran Social Services of South Texas for foster care.
The documents revealed that the couple was asleep when the girl got out of their apartment and wandered the streets.
McAllen police booked the couple into the Hidalgo County Jail late Saturday night.
The couple was released from custody after posting $15,000 personal recognizance bonds early Sunday morning.
