Radical Muslim Man Haron Monis, the man who took hostages in a Lindt shop in Sydney for over a dozen hours, promised vengeance on his website yesterday.
His website has since been taken offline, but Pundit Press found a cached copy of it (CAUTION: graphic content). As recent as yesterday, the day that he took hostages, Man Haron Monis declared that Muslims must fight against the United States and its allies.
“Islam is the religion of peace,” he wrote yesterday, “that’s why Muslims fight against the oppression and terrorism of USA and its allies including UK and Australia.”
He continued, “If we stay silent towards the criminals we cannot have a peaceful society. The more you fight with crime, the more peaceful you are. Islam wants peace on the Earth, that’s why Muslims want to stop terrorism of America and its allies. When you speak out against crime you have taken one step towards peace.”
The post is marked December 14th.
With it were extremely graphic pictures of dead children.
On a separate post was this picture. According to some witnesses, this was the same headband that Man Haron Monis wore when he took hostages:
In another document written in October, Man Haron Monis wrote that, “In Islam there is no any divisions of “radicalists” or “extremists” and “moderates”, we have only one Islam. We cannot call any one “Moderate Muslim” as such a thing does not exist in Islam.”
In that document, he called himself a “Muslim Cleric & Peace Activist.”
