Border Patrol agents caught a man convicted of enticing a child and child abuse.
Elvin Antonio Leon-Guerra was arrested by Washington D.C. police back in 2004.
He spent just over three years behind bars before being caught in Encino, Texas.
Agents out of the Falfurrias Border Patrol station apprehended Leon-Guerra during the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 4.
A records check revealed the 31-year-old Guatemalan national had a criminal history.
He is suspected of entering the country illegally.
A prior order of removal will be reinstated, and the case has been turned over to the prosecutions officer, Border Patrol said.
