Anchor Babies In The News: Undercover sting ends with three arrests for selling alcohol to minors

Employees from three Hidalgo County businesses are facing criminal charges after they allegedly sold beer to an undercover minor.

Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) agents and undercover minors fanning out across Hidalgo County late Saturday afternoon.

The sting operation ended with TABC arresting three people for selling alcohol to a minor:

• Kenneth Lee, 22
• Arriana Najar, 19
• Patricia Peña, 20

Investigators said Lee worked at the El Tigre Food Store off Auburn Avenue and Ware Road in McAllen.

Najar was working at the Monster Car Wash Bar & Grill off West University Boulevard in Edinburg.

Peña was working at the Las Carretas #5 Grocery Store off West Monte Cristo Road in Edinburg.

All three were released from the Hidalgo County Jail after posting bond.
