Illegal Immigrant gets charged with child sex assault when in jail on other charge

A man who was already incarcerated has racked up another charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Federico Diaz was behind bars on an unrelated charge when a child younger than 13-years-old made an outcry, Brownsville police said.
The initial report was filed on June 2, 2014 after authorities received a complain of sexual misconduct.
The 40-year-old was booked into the city jail in Brownsville around 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2014.
Currently the case is under investigation and a bond is currently pending.
